Almost as impressive is that the annoucers indicated that Tribble matched his season output of made 3 pointers since he only had one last season. Really impressed with the announcers who took the time to learn about the Zips. Makes me wonder how many on this board knew this fact?

If only mens soccer had won their game it would have been a perfect week for Zips sports.

Tribble with a travel. That is the 2nd time he hesitated when he had an open layup. Take the ball up strong and do not hesitate.

That is what frosh guards do best. Not used to the speed of the college game. Passes that they made in high school get picked off and they have to learn they cannot dribble past 3 guys. Tavari did the same thing last year.

The offensive rebound by Freeman where he tipped the ball 3 times and then scored was amazing. The refs have been good letting them play and I like these announcers. They have been both informative and funny.

Freeman has yet to score. They doubled him in the post and he had a nice assist. Need to get him the ball more. He needs to score inside or outside.

I have a great picture but no sound. Looks like they are not starting till 9:30

After getting an NBA look, Freeman was told to work on parts of his game including outside shooting. I am curious to see if Freeman has learned any small forward skills including an outside shot and driving to the basket. Every year he gets better. Would love to see him score 20 or more points tonight and drain a couple of outside shots.

Akron had two great scoring chances and could not finish on either in the 2nd half. Have to finish. The last couple of years Akron has faded at the end of the season. We lost the last 2 NCAA games and now we lose in our first big east playoff. Not sure why this team has been playing so poorly at the end of the season.

I just went to my phone hot spot and it has not frozen during half so I am hopeful. I stream a lot of espn and have not had a problem.

Also, this is the heaviest ref I have ever seen ref a college match. The guy has a stomach that is much bigger than mine and that is not good.

My picture keeps freezing on my computer and on my TV. Wonder if anyone else is having this problem who is watching on Flosports?

For those Zips fans who follow both soccer and basketball, Flosport will be broadcasting the Cayman Island Classic. I have not watched any of the away soccer games this year and when I checked out Flosports it is $30 a month and not worth it for one soccer game. However, the Zips B ball plays in the Cayman classic in November which is also covered covered by Flosports so I am going to sign up this month and watch the Zips soccer and basketball for $30. I will get to personally see how bad the camera work is for the soccer. The broadcast for basketball from Flosports was high quality.

The color analysis last night made some great points and it all has to do with coaching. 2nd and inches, 3rd and inches, 4th and inches, put the quarterback under center and have him sneak it or have him give it to a back. Has anyone watched my hometown team the Philly Eagles. He also indicate that the passes Cuffler was attempting were 30 yard passes for 10 yards in that they were on the sidelines on the far side of the field. He indicated that a coach should make it easier on his QB with shorter passes. Finally, use Lingard as a receiver out of the backfield. He is a good receiver and can make yards after the catch. It also allows Cuffler to get rid of the ball quickly.

If I were to take a poll, I would bet that every Zip on this board was waiting for Undercuffler to throw an interception on that last drive. He threw some nice balls in the 4th quarter and needs to get credit for this win.

I cannot believe we won the game on an amazing 4th quarter comeback. I saw about 200 people in the stands minus the bands. Probably 200 watching on TV. We finally pulled one out. There were several Zips that made outstanding plays to win this game.

I remember going to a Kent-Akron game at Kent that we lost and after the game a fan was yelling at Faust and Faust's son tore into the fan stating that his dad worked his butt off. I thought they were going to get physical but cooler heads prevailed.

What is the issue with Ali Ali? I assumed he could play this year when he signed with Akron. You would have thought somebody would have checked on that.

So the Southern League Network is the Summit League Network. I wonder how long it will take Gozips.com to make the correction?

Thanks!!! Worth $10 to watch the Zips first game. I hope the video is decent. For those that sign up, make sure to verify cancellation. I had problems with flosports and I was charged an extra month when I watched the Zips tourney in Florida.
