I am impressed that they have not thrown in the towel considering how bad the season has been. Would love for them to come away with a win. However, this season has not gone well even when we have a lead. Need to come out in the 2nd half with another scoring drive.

If he is on track to graduate this spring then he will not qualify this year unless the NCAA changes their decision. As the season progresses it might just be best for Ali to play next year.

I did not know that Ali had any mental health issues. So there was an issue for them to consider.

That is not a surprise to me. He decided to leave and then decided that it was a mistake. Even if he had an attorney, I fail to see the argument about a hardship. I hope he graduates and becomes a grad transfer after first semester is completed.

This team needs one of the guards to step forward and make some shots when things go bad. We need a X type player to step up. Seems like we penetrate and go nowhere and then pass it back to the perimeter and miss an open three. Not a real good flow to the offense.

We had 3 turnovers and 2 airballs to finish the half. Freeman cannot hit a foul shot. Just really bad basketball the last 2 minutes. We are down 6 and it could have been worse.

Now 3 fouls in 3 minutes. (LOL) At least this was a hustle foul and not a stupid one.

The guy has played 2 minutes and has 2 moving screens. I think that will be his extent of his time in the Cayman Classic. Freeman back in with 2 fouls.

Freeman has 2 quick fouls. Dawson struggling once again. Good to see Tavari with a couple of quick baskets. Pretty even game thus far.

Dawson played bad all game. Not sure why he was in the game at the end. We played poorly and still had a chance to win at the end. Hopefully we can learn from the experience and come back strong tomorrow. The large number of mistakes at the end cost us this game reminded me of our football team.

That last possession was bad. Passed up numerous shots and Freeman never touched the ball.

The color analyst made some good points. When Freeman has the ball down low there is no need to have somebody cut down the middle. Just draws another defender. Also, he indicated that Hunter needs to be more active down low and rebound. When Freeman is out he needs to be a rim protector.

We wore out FIU as they lost to Marshall by 11 today.

Tavari has changed his game this year. Really playing under control and not turning the ball over. He seems to be more of a facilitator than a scoring threat. His offense has been limited because he has not driven inside that much and his floaters have not been falling. I have not checked the stats but I believe he has less than 4 turnovers all year.

I just looked at the box score and saw we had 19 turnovers. We made some real ugly passes. That will not win us many games. However, we shot 40% from the three and I feel like this team is a better shooting team than last year. I also like that Freeman led the team in shots. He took over in the 2nd half. The team made a concerted effort to get him the ball in the 2nd half and that was the difference in the game. I cannot say that any of the guards stood out tonight.

Freeman had a monster game. I love that he feels confidant to shoot a 3 ball in the clutch. He also had some nice drives. His only weakness today was that he missed some foul shots. The first game is always the toughest and hopefully we will play better tomorrow.

Freeman has gotten beat up in the paint and no calls at all. On the one play he got mugged and the Zip drove to the basket and they called the foul on Freeman. We have gotten some bad calls in this half. However, we still need to win this game.

Running a great offensive set with Sammy at the foul line and then passing the ball to Freeman under the basket. When we run the ball through Freeman good things happen.

I thought they did a much better job later in the half getting the ball to Freeman. There is nobody that can match with him. Need to keep feeding him the ball. We are really giving FIU fits on the offensive end. They are really having problems finding open shots. I think I just witnessed the worst foul shot ever by a college player. Not only did it not hit the rim, it only made it half way to the basket.

Having problem getting the ball to Freeman. When they get it into him he is being double teamed. We have made some outside shots but not a very good offensive flow to the Zip offense.

No, this is just the camera angle for warmups. I think we played in this tourney 2 years ago and it was very professional but was a high school sized facility.
