Who do we talk to to get something done? I emailed mack to see if it were possible. Its the least we can do for these guys.. they gave their blood,sweat and tears for us.... so if he agree's lets all show up and send them off with the proper respect that they deserve.

Associate commissioner Rick Boyages saying he wanted to apologize for his comments earlier and that he was sorry and that he should have limited the reply to only the explanation of the events.

We can not let this happen. We must keep KD he has our program going in the right direction.

Why not have people go to the JAR and then bring in the basketball team to honor them for a great season they could take pictures, sign autographs and talk to the fans and then we can give a lil somthing extra to our departing seniors dru joyce and romeo travis.. we could have them make films with clips of the last 4 years for each one and have it played on the jumobtron. I really think both the team and romeo an dru deserve this... it would be a GREAT way to show the university and our basketball team that we are behind them 100%

another MAC teams fan showing some class. Thanks for the compliments, and i do feel we were horribly snubbed by the NIT like you do. It is hard for us to get wins over the bigger BCS schools, when they wont come and play us at the JAR (EX: we have been trying to sign pitt for the last 2 years, but they wont)

What ever happened to the former Zips verbal from the 2006 class, Marcus Procter from Alliance HS? He was one of the top DT in the state as a senior and he was a pretty big body ( 6'3 285) we could really use him now. and also........I was looking at past threads bout recruiting, and i seena guy hwo had verballed to BS but then came to the zips, not sure of his name, but he was a big guy 6'1 190 (I think those are his stats, but not positive)

he cant be 235, i seen him in person and he is definalty closer to like 260-275. we will just have to wait and see, but hopefully akron does offer him. With him being the brother of former buckeye donte witner, he could get offers just on that with people thinking ....well his father was a great player, his brother was a great player, lets take a chance on him.

Maybe if enough Zips fans contact the people and make our voices heard as one, we will have a better chance at getting some respect when it comes tourney time next year...cuz they will know how passionate we are bout our zips athletics. just a thought

So what about all the calls that went uncalled the whole game, and i mean if this guy has been working the shot clock for all the years that the Official stated in the email, how can he allow somthing like that to happen? If it is the same guy who does the cavs game, I never see or have heard of him messin up the clock in them games... just my opinion, you can blame the refs, guy working the clock, and blame the team for missin the FT.

This year we were better then last year............... next year we have a chance to be better then this year. Not taking anything at all away from DRU or ROME, because they both turned out to be very very good players for us. But i look at us signing Swiech and Steward like it was when we signed Dru and Rome.....we got 2 marquee players who we can help build our future around for the next few years

We cant blame him tho, he had the gameplan to win. as stated back in the first half od the season. Free Throwing can come back to bite us in the rear....... and it did. If we hit all of our free throws we win the game, if we hit one we win.

If we played them at home, you dont think we would beat them? They lost their last 4 games to unlv,tcu,byu and wyoming. we will just have to see, cuz they got austin peay in the first round of the NIT, an we beat them by 17 points

I don't think everyone is crushed over just the Miami loss. That's basketball. Last second shots, human errors, they happen. It is crushing but it is sports, and that happens and that makes it easier to deal with (though still difficult).The outrage is over the selection committees, specifically the NIT. Everyone can come to grip about not making the NCAA--we saw that coming. But not making the NIT is a joke. and they said earlier on the TV that if a team is on the bubble alot of times the league commissioner will lobby to try to help get that team in. Did they lobby to get akron into any type of tourney? everyone knows we should have been in.

So now you know how i feel when he degraded me because i made a typing error. I was also trying to type fast.

Maybe i watched it wrong...along with anyone else who seen it. But when the people (stuart scott) on espn used their clock from the time the ball touched the players hand after the missed free throw to when the miami guy got the ball an turned up court. it was 1.6 seconds

I agree 100%. There is no reason for this guy to not get fired for responding to a fan this way. The original e-mail wasn't exactly roses, but regardless, a person ranking that high can't respond back like a fifth grader. As i was reading that, it was like someone got on his e-mail and was sending a prank response.He has to be fired over this! But i didnt make a personal attack on him. I simply stated what i was hearing from the TV stations and one different message boards about the MAC officials and the MAC conference itself. Yes i did call the commissioner a coward, but that is personal opinion... im aloud to have that.

If you would have read it, I personally never called "his" conference a joke. I simply stated that "Now we know why everyone looks at the MAC conference as a joke"Everyone is allowed to have the own opinions of things, so i stated how everyone feels. (from what all i read on this and other message boards)

They just mentioned Akron as being snubbed by the NCAA. He said they lost their conference championship on a 3 pointer at the buzzer and that they should have been in. They then said that miami was 15 and 14 during the regular season, and akron had 26 wins. and even skip bayless......the guy who disagrees with everyone on the show, said akron got snubbed by the committee.

I know I didnt correctly spell it ha. It was written out of anger an frustration after getting screwed over by a time keeper at the MAC championship, so i didnt read it over. I didnt even realize it till the guy responded back to me.

yea i do believe they made that a new rule when they lowered the field from 40 somthing teams to 32. at least i thought i heard that somewhere, but heck im ignorant from what i was told from the MAC associate commissioner, so im probably wrong ha ha
