We played in an NBA facility a week ago and there were not that many more fans there than a full house at the JAR .....

Having attended the tournament last weekend, something I am noticing is that the MAC tournament seems to be losing its appeal and I don't know why given the brand of basketball that is played there year in and year out. How come Akron/Can't draw 9k fans in the MAC championship game for the dance? Not to mention you practically get those tickets for a buck if you take advantage of the promotion. Maybe its just me but I always though the basketball games were the most exciting athletic events to go to when I was a student just because of how close you are to the action. Our football team can get 15k to attend a meaningless bowl game in Detroit and we can get 1000 or so students to freeze at a soccer game but we can't get people to a game against our archrival for a dance ticket? If I were a Can't fan I would really be perplexed given their recent success in hoops starting with the elite 8. We have the best coach in the MAC. Maybe it's just me but it seems like our support in Cleveland is getting weaker and weaker.

I've been following Akron athletics since 2003. This is the best win ever for me......can't wait for the youtubes to start rolling in. I'm happy for Zeke. He turned down some big schools to come here and he deserves to be in the dance.

At least Brookhart was an offensive coordinator and had some play calling experience as well as playing experience. I was scratching my head with this hire from day one.

Can we still Get Waddell? He gets it and would come in here with a vision. I'm sorry but ever since that regime left Akron the athletic department has never been the same. We may have better facilities now but those guys made the most out of what they had. As an AD, you need to work on bringing more fans in instead of squeezing more and more out of those who already care. I for one am considering sitting this season out as well and the basketball team as of late has been getting very predictable. I'm tired of this small time mentality.

Milliken? Milliken? Surely The University of Phoenix is not far behind. Then again I've heard of The University of Phoenix. Heck why not keep it local and schedule Tri-C? I'm sure they'd bring lots of fans.

I really like what our soccer team has done but I sure hope it is not our "focus". I won't watch 1-AA football let alone soccer.

Football just needs to get better, and we can avoid this discussion Miami is having. I've seen some big crowds, but our team always lays an egg before we can really generate excitement. Football is the cash cow and needs to be able to sustain itself better.

I hope "the elbow" does not step foot again on my alma mater. He is a disgrace to this city and all of northeastern Ohio.

Another douche here.....I'm absolutely disgusted that our arch rival came in here and scalped us. It was sickening watching 100 Can't fans take over our house. I hate losing to that school. But I think we can all agree at least though our season's done if we see that team again.
