Seriously, who is everyone? A few posters on the internet? The MWC lost Colorado State, Boise State, Fresno State and San Diego State. As far as I can see, they replaced them with Grand Canyon, UTEP and NIU. It's a terrible conference. The MWC can have them. They can add 10 more nobodies and it won't make up for the losses of the four above. I've never by big fan of the MAC expanding outside of Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. As soon as possible, I'd like to see Buffalo and UMass hit the bricks. We could have a nine game conference scheduled with 3ooc games. College football is marketing to drunks and degenerate gamblers. We can do that with a ten team MAC. We can whore ourselves out for MACtion with 10 teams just as much as with 13.

I find it interesting that I this entire discussion and the press releases there is not a single discussion of how this move impacts the players students alumni fans and general community around the schools.

The most interesting thing is the suits are only going to grow and for good reason. The Supreme Court has told everyone involved there needs to be a collective bargaining agreement and a meeting hasn't even been set to discuss.

The CFP continues. The buzz is amazing. I mean, I can't wait to see how bad Notre Dame blows out Georgia with a back-uo QB. That's the only interest I have. PSU is going to kill BSU. Texas will dismantle ASU. OSU vs Oregon will somehow turn into a blowout, I'm just not sure which way and I don't care because they already played this year. Are there any other sports on TV New Year's Day?

Miami wins their bowl game against a well known G5 team. Again, I think losing bowl games doesn't hurt a program, but winning can be used to gain traction in recruiting. The MAC is representing itself well this bowl season.

Hard to say. It depends on what P4 requires. Remember, we're talking about professional football now. There are some schools that simply cannot compete in football at highest level. In reality, there are more P4 schools than NFL teams and far fewer capable of winning the championship. They are all either in the Big Ten or SEC. There could be a professional league of affiliated universities as small as 30 teams. 20 teams would probably be enough and that's probably ten too many. There could be a situation where teams like Cal, Stanford, Northern, Duke ,Wake Forest, etc wouldn't mind playing in a lower division if they could maintain their conference affiliation for other sports at the highest level. Not every FCS team would want to compete against even MAC level schools, but some could compete very well. What I'm certain of is nobody really knows what to future holds. Does anyone know a television executive what is going to happen? They are the ones controlling things.

USC vs A & M = Awesome More bowls please. I'd say less playoffs, but I can't imagine being less interested. Maybe in some strange way getting those 12 teams out of the bowl picture has made the bowls better. Seriously, other than people who profit off of college football, who exactly was clamouring for an expanded playoff?

Tech and Vandy was another great game. The Navy game was awesome in front of a packed stadium. Bowls mean something to a lot of people. I can't believe college football is committing suicide so television executives whe don't have the NFL will have something to show on their network.

That's not what I see. I don't give a flying crap if players skip games or not. I'll take the non quitters. I see players competing hard and fans having a fun time around the holidays. There is not only nothing wrong with that, but it is awesome and something our society needs more of. The games mean something to the players students alumni fans and general community around their schools.

I don't put much stock in bowl outcomes, but love watching them. Toledo played hard and with a lot of pride. The one thing the TP has done is narrow the gap between top level MAC programs and mid)low level ACC\Big 12 programs.

Pleasing everyone isn't the point of the twelve team playoff. The point is to please television executives who want to sell more advertising time geared towards drunks and degenerate gamblers. They are the ones running college football. Anyone who sat around yesterday watching all twelve quarters of that garbage could only fall into one of those two categories. It was utter trash.

Next week, an idiot with a microphone will try to convince you that the only way to improve what is a horrible first round of the CFP is to expand it to 16 teams. Remind the idiot that this OSU game is exactly what would have happened anyhow. We aren't watching the next evolution of college football, we are watching the collapse.

How tedious has college football gotten? The Steelers game started 30 minutes after the Clemson game. When the Steelers game ended there was 1:47 left in the Clemson game.
