Zip Watcher
So in honor of OU week here at ZipsNation, I thought I'd bring up a topic that was discussed at length @ the Q last week. Anyone who saw the OU dance team will understand the question and probably have an immediate opinion. ZN.O would like to know. There's one member of the OU dance team that's not like the others. So I ask you: Is that member Strange, or is that member a Visionary .. well ahead of the rest of us? Inquiring minds want to know.
meatwad
LOL, nice. I wondered if the culprit was out there last night, dancing away...
GoZips88
He's actually VERY good, has obviously worked very hard at it, is as good or better than any of the women, and I applaud him for pursuing an obvious passion . Still seems odd to me though .
zippy5
I have a word for it. It starts with a "g" and ends with a "y."

Zip Watcher
My opinion is that he's ahead of his time. A true visionary. The guy's a dancer, but many of his mannerisms and appearance contradict the immediate conclusion of an alternate view on life. I think this guy is like Chaz .. he's revolutionary. He's found a way to get closer to some action and he's decided he doesn't care what it might look like. And look who he sits with every game. Does the dance team only have one lockerroom? Captain Kangaroo
If they OU guy is straight, he's on to something really good.
zippy5
If they OU guy is straight, he's on to something really good. If you're using this line of thinking, male cheerleaders are the real visionaries then. Id rather be a male cheerleader than a dancer.. If you're using this line of thinking, male cheerleaders are the real visionaries then. Id rather be a male cheerleader than a dancer.. I disagree. There's nothing visionary doing something that's done everywhere, and that's been done for decades. Beyond that, if you are a male cheerleader, you're in competition with 4-5 other guys. If you are the dance team guy you're on the cutting edge, and it's 1-on-10.

Male cheerleaders aren't really expected to be gay anymore. They were visionaries 20 years ago, and this guy could be modifying their idea. hmm. this is an interesting topic. zen
I feel a beer commercial coming on: *sings* REAL MEN OF GENIUS <gruff voice>Here's to you, heterosexual-male-dance-team-member! You got those girls right where you want them.... like puddy in your hands. You're not worried about laughter from the stands. You get the last laugh. So what if you act a bit effeminate to get the girl's gaurd down? </gruff voice> <singer improv interlude>I'm not really gay-ay!</singer> <gruff voice> So crack open and ice cold budweiser, mister heterosexual-male-dance-team-member! No one will ever know the pioneering ground you are breaking... ... and you like it better that way.</gruff narrator> <singer-in-rushed-pace>heterosexual-male-dance-team-members don't want competitionnnnnnnnnnnn</singer> [edit]I changed to "real men of genius" instead of "real american heroes", since they are both bud commercials of teh same format, and it seemed more appropriate. zen
Someone needs to get to work and YouTube this! I would consider it if I had some decent footage of this genius. I'm fairly good at audio editing, but I would need to find someone who can do a narrator voice at least passably close to the bud commercial guy. zip37
My wife and I have won a couple of dance contests [R&R 50s style] but it would be a cold day at the poles before I would dance those routines. GRAVY.

Hilltopper
This is Hilltoppers daughter and I am a competitive cheerleader. It might be that I am used to it, but I don't find anything wrong with the male dancer. Actually I think that it is amazing that he is even on the team. On my team there are four guys and there are a total of nine guys in the gym. These athletes are some of the coolest people I know, and probably the best athletes in the gym. I think that people need to get over the idea that guys can't do the same things girls can do. He's good and should continue dancing!!! GP1
Isn't the real question, Tom or Thomas? Here is the roster for the OU dance team. He is only a sophomore so we have two more years to debate this important issue.
RootforRoo44
If they OU guy is straight, he's on to something really good. haha EXACTLY. I was going to say option 3: LUCKY. He even gets away with not wearing anything too fruity. Also, I bet you the OU basketball players would have traded their Cleveland hotel roommates for his in a second
