Hilltopper
LBJ back to Cavs? James can opt out of his contract at the end of the 2013-14 season, and speculation is he will strongly consider it if Riley remains in his current role. And the team James would be eyeballing most in free agency, say those close to the situation, would be the Cavs. I think whoever started that rumor has been spending too much time in the Beer thread! Blue & Gold
This sucks. That does suck. Hopefully it'll only be for one year - and it probably will be, as the article states that LeBron moved the camp to Vegas this year so he can participate in the camp while also training w/ the U.S. Olympic team. Dr Z
Interesting read by Kevin Van Valkenburg. The mistrial of LeBron James One game in the life of the most confounding player of our time This story appears in the April 16, 2012 "One Day, One Game" issue of ESPN The Magazine. skip-zip
LeBron James quiets critics with 45-point, 15-rebound statement http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/...-statement.html It's funny how the bashers have disappeared. I'm sure they will resurface. It's a Cleveland sports fan tradition. Just wait until they have another opportunity to exhibit embarrassing behavior that gets publicized nationally. MDZip
Not trying to rekindle the debate over the value that Lebron brings to UA, but here is an ESPN Rick Reilly article on LeBron and Kevin Durant that once again mentions UA. And for you purists, he gets the name right. "They are closer than you think. Both dumped by Dallas in last season's playoffs, they commiserated during the lockout with a two-man, four-day "Hell Week" as James called it, at the University of Akron -- lifting, shooting, and swimming. James saw Durant's drive up close and knew he'd probably have to go through him to get a title. Now, here they are, in Hell Fortnight". Dr Z
LeBron James' HS Coach Thinks He's Ready To Silence His CriticsLooking forward to this series. Can LBJ continue to play like he has the last two games? He sure looked focused to me. I'm not sure the Thunder will (lack of) defend the paint the way the Celtics did. MDZip
My son just retweeted this. Cracked me up. Needed to be posted now in case Miami wins the series - LeBron would like to remind everyone, when he said, "Not two, not three, not four..." he never said "Not Zero"

Dr Z
Standing ovation!?!? Dave opened things up by asking, "Well, now that you got this out of your system, you ready to go back to Cleveland and play some ball?" Letterman "I thought you were going to stick it out in Cleveland"
Sergeant Zip
Dambrot on James: "Listen, this guy has been pampered, spoiled and told how great he was since the 7th grade..." Blue & Gold
^^^I have trouble adding links to articles from my Mac, but I just read an article that said, in addition to LeBron's MVP, Olympic gold & NBA championship, SI appreciated his work with Akron's schoolchildren and his "Promise" campaign with them (LeBron wore the "Promise" wristband all through the playoffs). So Akron should get quite a bit of publicity once this article drops.

GP1
Cavs clearing space for The Sportsman of the Year in 2014 Hmmmm. Let me help the Cavs. Do the math on living/working in the following places while having more money than you could ever spend. Miami vs. Cleveland Los Angeles vs. Cleveland I guess the economy of Cleveland will have to recover in another manner.
Dr Z
Cavs clearing space for The Sportsman of the Year in 2014According to the PD's poll, the majority would welcome LBJ back. I've seen crazier things in sports happen. Are the Zips starting the turnaround with the bobble-head give away?
