Chisholm's stats are actually pretty good at this point considering the strength of the opposition and the limited passing threat displayed thus far. I say he goes for 150+ with fewer carries this week, and a couple of TDs. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tyler Williams in the Wildcat now that the RS is burned.Zips 38Keydets 17

I hope the Zips score at least 4 tds. I hope the defense holds vmi to 10 or less. Most importantly, I hope someone on ZN pm's me that they have a ticket they want to get rid of and maybe a way to get myself and a friend into lot 9.
Al Bundy scored 4 touchdowns in one game! Why can't the Zips? Chisholm runs strong, and the Zips win 35-28.

Gaffney article on VMI and HC Sparky Woods. The Keydets apparently won't be intimidated, taking heart in fellow Big South Conference member G-Webb's win last year. They're biggest problem has been turnovers. The Zips need to play a focused 60 minutes. That was missing against G-Webb.
Quote from the article: "... the Keydets were upset by Delaware State (24-21) in their opener, then were beaten at home by William & Mary (24-7) and at Richmond (34-19). Notably, William & Mary is ranked No. 5 and Richmond is No. 7 this week in the FCS coaches poll."Hmm, VMI's 0-3 record may be a bit deceiving?

They Keydets have hurt themselves with eight turnovers (four fumbles lost and four interceptions) and other mental and physical breakdowns at key junctures.

Odd, for a Military program? Certainly helpful for the Zips.

We're so used to seeing the triple option in these games, it'll be strange to see VMI in a pro set. Some may recall that Bill Stewart ran the triple option at VMI prior to his WVU coaching days.

Gardner Webb....haunting us once again.

Why wouldn't a team like VMI gain a tremendous amount of confidence in knowing what their fellow conference member accomplished here last year?

I'm not sure if we have all grasped the importance of this game. A loss tomorrow, coupled with the GW loss from last year, has the potential to bury our football program for many, many years.

Good thing it wasn't Ted.

Normally I'm against teams running up the score.

But under present circumstances, I want, no...I need to see us put up a ton of points vs. VMI.

Don't assume that VMI will run up the score(ha,ha,ha). Also don't assume that unless Akron gets on a roll early that it will be anything more than a clsoe game. Both teas have 1-AA capabilities.
