Captain Kangaroo Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Chisholm is tired from being run into the ground @ Cincinnati. Disciplined Keydet defense gives impotent Zips offense fits. Zips win 22-10. Yippee. Quote
K92 Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I think the Zips offense finally gets going, 34-20 Zips. Quote

RowdyZip Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I hope the Zips score at least 4 tds. I hope the defense holds vmi to 10 or less. Most importantly, I hope someone on ZN pm's me that they have a ticket they want to get rid of and maybe a way to get myself and a friend into lot 9. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Chisholm's stats are actually pretty good at this point considering the strength of the opposition and the limited passing threat displayed thus far. I say he goes for 150+ with fewer carries this week, and a couple of TDs. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tyler Williams in the Wildcat now that the RS is burned.Zips 38Keydets 17 Quote
Z.I.P. Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Wouldn't it be nice to see the Lone Ranger actually put up some decent #s against Div I-AA competition? Maybe even complete over 50% of his passses?! Akron 24-14 Quote

InTheZone Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 I have seen nothing from this team that shows me that they even care if they win. We couldn't compete in the OAC the way we've been playing. I'm seeing another loss, but I pray to God in heaven and all His angels that I'm wrong. Quote

Why can't the Zips? Chisholm runs strong, and the Zips win 35-28. Quote
skip-zip Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Zips 34-10Please lets put all of this misery to an end !!!! Quote
lance99 Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 They to need to win this game! I said another thread that this is the "win with a disclaimer" game. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Gaffney article on VMI and HC Sparky Woods. The Keydets apparently won't be intimidated, taking heart in fellow Big South Conference member G-Webb's win last year. They're biggest problem has been turnovers. The Zips need to play a focused 60 minutes. That was missing against G-Webb. Quote

Notably, William & Mary is ranked No. 5 and Richmond is No. 7 this week in the FCS coaches poll."Hmm, VMI's 0-3 record may be a bit deceiving? Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 They Keydets have hurt themselves with eight turnovers (four fumbles lost and four interceptions) and other mental and physical breakdowns at key junctures.Odd, for a Military program? Certainly helpful for the Zips. Quote

Odd, for a Military program? Certainly helpful for the Zips. We're so used to seeing the triple option in these games, it'll be strange to see VMI in a pro set. Some may recall that Bill Stewart ran the triple option at VMI prior to his WVU coaching days. Quote

Why wouldn't a team like VMI gain a tremendous amount of confidence in knowing what their fellow conference member accomplished here last year? I'm not sure if we have all grasped the importance of this game. A loss tomorrow, coupled with the GW loss from last year, has the potential to bury our football program for many, many years. Quote

scottditzen Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Normally I'm against teams running up the score. But under present circumstances, I want, no...I need to see us put up a ton of points vs. VMI. Quote

Also don't assume that unless Akron gets on a roll early that it will be anything more than a clsoe game. Both teas have 1-AA capabilities. Quote
