UAZipster0305
28-17 OU wins. Chisel goes for 125 and 2 TDs, and LR8 has nearly as many rushing as passing yards.
xu9697
I just get a feeling that things are going to go right.Zips win 20-17.LR8 completes 8 of 15 throws. The Chisel gashes the Bobcats for 133 yards on 28 carries. (maybe "gashes" is too strong of a word)
mes102
21-10 Bobcats. I believe that it may be a lot of dump passes for Moore, so I feel his completion % could be higher than 50% because of the screen plays. Chisholm should run for about 130-150 yards I feel... RootforRoo44
I saw OU for the third time (and first time in person) last saturday. They play reckless at times and i say that as a compliment. They hit at 100 mph every play and even when down, have a swagger on defense. Their offense is hit or miss but they have a few talented receivers that could cause a lot of problems for us. That being said, they don't do anything great and seem to have a tough time with turnovers. I wouldn't count us out.
Hilltopper
I went all optimist this week. Zips by 14!
Lee Adams
OU-Akron usually USUALLY play close games here even if we are bad. OU wins by a TD+ but the game won't be that close. OU can still hang it on its D to win a game against an offense that has no clue.

johnnyzip84
I just got done listening to the iCoach's portion of the MAC call-in show for 10-17-2011. Listening between the lines, I am no longer am concerned about The Chisel's material properties heading into this game. It sounds like the extra rest is exactly what he needed at this time of year. I think he might be up around a Rockwell C hardness of 50 Before I make my pick, I'm warning everyone that I've been "relatively hot" the last few games with my predictions Game My Prediction Actual ScoreVMI ----- 38-17 ----- 36-13EMU ----- 17-31 ----- 23-31FIU ------ 24-38 ----- 17-27That said, I went with the Zip trifecta in the poll.UA 34OU 24LR8 15-25 202 YDS 2 TDSThe Chisel 19 carries 122 YDS 1 TD

This is in regard to converting 24% on 3rd down. “We have had issues in that area. First and second down greatly affects third down,” Ianello said. REALLY, who knew?!?!?! Can you tell us more? Ridiculous.
Dr Z
Here's my favorite quote. This is in regard to converting 24% on 3rd down. “We have had issues in that area. First and second down greatly affects third down,” Ianello said. REALLY, who knew?!?!?! Can you tell us more? Ridiculous.I forget what season of HBO's 'Hard Knocks' it was, but they were showing a team meeting on the percentages of down and distance. The gist of the meeting was exactly what you quoted. Gaining yardage on first and second down greatly effects the conversion percentages on third. While it sounds "ridiculous", I understand where it is coming from. I sure hope they do another season of Hard Knocks next year, I really missed it this year. I still say if I was UA, I would PAY HBO to come to Akron to do a Hard Knocks-type show on the team. Attendance would double.
GP1
Zips win 20-17.I like this prediction. The MAC is a funny league. When you think one thing is going to happen, strange things happen in the other direction. The Zips get their second of three wins for the season. Zipmeister
Lots of updates and news from the press conference. Recruiting JUCOs hard, lots of talk about how the bye was implemented and about OUTalk about improvement.Part I would not load for me, but in part II there is a dramatic reduction in face-touching. I'm tempted to increase my predicted point spread.
johnnyzip84
Rasor expects an OU blowout. I wonder if it's of the 152-6 variety I saw predicted on another web site?
dreal1scout
Rasor expects an OU blowout. I wonder if it's of the 152-6 variety I saw predicted on another web site? I predict a Zips WIN. I've lost any/all respect I ever had for Rasor. I expect a ZIPS BlowOut!! GO ZIPS!!!
Dr Z
Game My Prediction Actual ScoreVMI ----- 38-17 ----- 36-13EMU ----- 17-31 ----- 23-31FIU ------ 24-38 ----- 17-27That said, I went with the Zip trifecta in the poll. UA 34 / OU 24I'm impressed. I am going to be an optimist and believe that the bye week will benefit the Zips. History proves otherwise, but I'm tired of being a realist with this team.Winner will have 24, loser will score 21 and it will come down to the last drive of the game, unfortunately, LR8 has yet to prove he can lead the Zips on a winning drive late in a game, and I think that continues this week. Zips lose a close one. Please prove me wrong.I am not betting this week, but if you put a gun to my head, I would take the points.

Captain Kangaroo
27-16 OU wins"The Playmaker" throws for 172 yards, completes 14 passes, and the Zips faithful pen endless prose regarding his ever-growing legend.
