He pretty much sacrificed his game for the good of the team. Well deserved honor in my opinion.

Here's where the sixth man seed was planted with Q last April:

..... Lastly I spoke with Quincy Diggs. Like Harney Q is immediately likeable, goal oriented and

not overly serious about himself. He joked about his temper and the need to harness all that

energy. Q set a long list of goals for himself. You can find it on the dry erase board in coach

Weigand's office. Q knows that developing as an outstanding defensive player is key to earning

his minutes. He also likes the idea of being that sixth man we so badly need. He sees that

it gives him the opportunity to play multiple positions which is something he enjoys. I was

asked to name the greatest sixth man of all time by a Zips coach. The answer is John Havlicek.

Surprisingly, Quincy knows who Havlicek is. Knocked my socks off. .....

An interesting perspective from the Toledo Blade's MAC guy. Don't agree with everything, but well-thought out and well argued, imo.
I agree, nice read.

He also would pick Harney over Q and Tree for 6th Man.

Pretty much confirms he saw the Zips once this season...@ BG.

Tree might have been a better choice. He made some key buckets and rebounds.

But it does not matter, he WILL have his glory days.

Or maybe he saw the second half of the first Can't game on TV. That was a pretty decent display of the Harney Factor at work, IIRC.

Sine this particular writer covers BG, my guess is the Captain is correct. Harney hit the buzzer beater there. I think Scott Thomas is a very good player but I wouldn't put him first team over Zeke. Maybe a little more BG bias there.

I would pick Harney as Most Surprising Player (MSP), simply because MAC COY GoZips said before the season that he might not be a contributor. :D
