jupitertoo
Most Zips fans probably aren't considering a trip to Athens for Wednesday night's game. But I make these weeknight treks all the time and it's really easy...and worthwhile, given what's at stake. Leave Akron at 3:30 - arrive in your seats no later than 6:40 - guaranteed. Game ends at 9:15 - climb into your warm bed at 12:15 a.m. - guaranteed. Hopefully in the interim you will see an exciting, well-played game in a highly charged atmosphere. Challenge yourselves to make this one trip. You won't be sorry...regardless of the outcome.

pdt1420
My parents have really been following the Zips this year, been to half a dozen games. They're going to the game. I'm in Columbus now, and me, the wife, and the little guy are going as well. Hope more Zips fans make the trip.

Valpo Zip
Only the MAC would schedule a game of this caliber on a Wednesday night. Other conferences would have found a way to make it a prime time Saturday game.

Maybe the national cow tipping championships are on during that time.

jem101
Just started my first job out of school two weeks ago. Something tells me asking for time off this soon might not be a good idea. I'll be cheering from Akron though!

natemathwhiz2
I wish. Never getting out before 5 during tax season. Plagued with having to work Wednesday as well. Can't call off and leave the newer tax preparers to fend for themselves. At least I've gotten off for every home game this year

RowdyZip
I'll be at Barley House, yes I know the "watch party" is at Johnny Js, but Barley is across the street from work. I'll have a few Zips fans with me, hope some other folks will join.

Bubba4three
LOL. You try way too hard man. Not sure what you mean by this. I truly hope Zips fans enjoy their time in such a big-time college venue. Its not every day you get to watch a game in front of over 11,000 fans. UAZipster0305
For those attending, enjoy watching a game at the MAC's flagship program. Truly a special atmosphere. And what accomplishments allow OU to claim such a title? National Championship? No, UA Soccer 2010. BCS Bowl appearance? No, NIU 2012. MAC Football Championships? No, UA 2005. Success in NCAA Tournament baseball? No, Can't 2012 (as much as I hate to say it). Success in NCAA Tournament golf? No, Can't every year (as much as I hate to say it). Other schools have accomplishments that fill the MAC ledger as well or better than anything OU has done. I'll give you women's volleyball and and a couple good years in men's basketball (that end this year and perhaps tomorrow night) and that's it...hardly worthy of "flagship" status. Have fun rebuilding next year and watching us with another banner season. I don't mean to feed the troll, but this guy needs put in his place with facts. Hopefully tomorrow night and later in March will be additional reality checks for him.
akronfutbol
Johnny J's has been a bad experience for my family for the Zips watch parties. Sure it's an upgrade over Barley House (OSU shirts?!) but it's too bad we dont have a place like Ohio Brewing Company was a few years back. Ill be watching from home.
