Depth Chart?

I'm most concerned about starting Henry Orelus after his drastic weight loss. 329-237, that's 92 LBs in a single offseason.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Maybe he donated all of it to Imani Davis (but only needed when he is being used as a punt returner). :D

And this kind of stuff in an official release also drives me a little crazy - "Williams’s arm was complimented by sophomore running back Jawon

Chisholm’s ..". Really, Chisholm was remarking how much he liked Williams arm? I know it's only a football release but come on, we're supposed to be a institution of higher learning, couldn't we at least get someone in the English department to look these over before they're (or should I have said their) released? Jupy2, do you work in the English department? Can you find someone? :)

Lots of seniors on the 2 deep. That doesn't bode well for the future. I understand why, but damn.

F the future. Isn't everyone tired of the future...don't people want to win football games today?

I've never heard a fan complain that his team had too many seniors.

Maybe GP1 did...I know he's a big fan of "building" over "winning." And there's no better way to solidify the building process than to play Freshmen and Sophomores. ;) ;)

Bre' Ford ahead of Anthony Holmes. That is a surprise.

I also dont see the new Pitt RT on the 2 deep. I think he may be mixed up in the Mizell thing and is playing catchup after joining camp so late.

I am not so concerned with the depth chart in week one. I am sure Bowden will be platooning and the guys that play well in the games will straighten out the depth chart in no time.

The team better win some games if all of these1 year transfers are keeping youngsters from developing. :D

Amazed that Mizell isn't in the 2 deep. I bet he is in there after 1-2 weeks.

16 seniors

15 juniors

12 sophomores

2 RS freshmen

1 freshman

sounds good to me; I believe the rest of the youngsters are not being prevented from developing and can do so during practice sessions.

Joe Dunn interviewed Frenchy yesterday and they talked about the depth chart. Both thought that Bowden left MTB and Bickley off the 2 deep to take some pressure off them. If you are on the 2-deep, you know you are going to get some PT. A true freshman might sleep better if he thought he wasn't going to have to play. Then when the time comes, TB just yells their name and says "get in there"! If they have practiced hard, they will be ready. All we need from these guys are a couple of big plays. Remember David Harvey?

I'm guessing Bowden doesn't want to carry 2 punters on scholarship, so the Aussie will need to fund himself this season.

Not sure what that would have to do with him not being on the two-deep. My guess is that Bowden is planning to red-shirt him, being that Paul is only a Sophomore.

I agree. The depth chart is just an administrative form that had to be filled out at this point.

HERE are the JMU game notes, but the depth chart looks to be unchanged from last week. I wonder if TB simply doesn't put too much stock/effort in these "public" depth charts?

That's too bad. But I don't think it's on TB so much as the football SID. If they don't ask for one, there's nothing to post. Or if TB refused to give one out, just say that the chart won't be public. It's lazy to post the old one.
