ZachTheZip
The only big concern I have this week is that Akron doesn't prepare well enough coming off of a big win.

Balsy
Losing to Penn State after the big Howard victory. There's a difference. Going from a win over FCS Howard to FBS BIG Penn State (away). My biggest concern is using this game to work out the kinks. We cannot afford to overlook the Eagles. I know they're horrible this year, but I would like to see the Zips work on controlling the game through clock management. Force the Eagles offense to stay on the Bench, and wear down the Eagles defense.
Buckzip
Let downs happen after big wins. The Zips need to beat the teams they should beat.
GP1
Let downs happen after big wins. The Zips need to beat the teams they should beat.Zips had a huge let down years ago after beating NC State and never recovered. One pick six before halftime crashed the season. CMU ead much better, but the Zips still could have won.
K92
Does Emu take their cement block intro with them for road games? I hope so.
LZIp
It will be interesting to see the Zips how the Zips perform after a big W. EMU looks to be hands down the worst team in the MAC. Even behind UMASS, Miami, and Can't St. Hoping for the blow out that is should be. I want total domination, but wont be surprised with a let down and closer-than-need-be win. That's about all I have to say about the game leading up to it.
GP1
Does Emu take their cement block intro with them for road games? I hope so. They don't have it anymore. Destroyed it in a comedy show disguised as a team entering a game. Wonder if that entrance will make an athletic department employees resume. lance99
Three things are going for the Zips in this game:-Big win last week-At Home-HomecomingWe all know that Eastern is the Nuclear Wasteland of College Football for years, but if the Pitt game is an indication of things to come then we should be fine. A very boring game, but if Condor is the man for the rest of the season(or even going to a Split-Back set). A Meat-Grinder game will happen just to see if the running game is the real deal. Balsy
This is basically the first homecoming of my Zips career that should be win. It's about time. Go Zips!

Play them like they're the Michigan State Spartans. Don't even look at the Vegas line on this one...pretend we are the underdogs at home. Run the ball, catch every pass, no turnovers, no dumb penalties. Go Zips!

Dr Z
Not sure if seriousMe either, but I know it's incorrect. The Zips are favored to win. I'm a little surprised the line is that high. Without looking at the numbers, I would have guessed 16. I would be more interested in the over/under on this one. zippy5
Either way, it's nice to see us favored by 3 touchdowns over a 1-A team.

johnnyzip84
When was the last time UA was favored over a D1 team?At least twice in the past 12 months (K.E.N.T. and UMass last year) - but I agree this is a silly thing to be bringing up now I have a question for you. How closely DO you follow the Zips? Does winning the last 4 out of 5 in 2013 ring any bells? Do you honestly think they would have been an underdog versus MAC competition in all five of those games given the fact that they won 4 of them?
