mes102
Would be nice to see a decent crowd for the Akron women's home tournament game against #12 seed Miami(OH).

burrdie
Does anyone know if there will be TV coverage of noon game on Thursday? Any other coverage ?
mes102
According to this, it will be on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, BCSN, or ESPN3 http://www.mac-sports.com/tournaments/?id=46&path=mbball
ace
Miami over Ball State does seem like a potential upset, although the Redhawks are really poor on the road. Still, I think that's the most likely upset in the first round. I'd definitely like to see EMU beat Toledo.

Count me in as rather playing EMU over Toledo on Thursday. I think all the home teams will win. WMU over NIU, on a neutral court, would be interesting, but since NIU is 17-1 at home, think they survive.
clarkwgriswold
Here's hoping that every Monday game is a triple overtime physically and mentally taxing marathon!

skip-zip
I know I said in another thread that I felt that CMU and Toledo were the two teams I didn't want to see in the #4 and #8 respectively, and I got my worst scenario. I think the draws are a very tough road for us. Interestingly, I think possibly our easiest game would be the title game. I don't see the other side of the bracket producing any team that can touch us on a neutral court in Cleveland.
NWAkron
Might be best for Kent to win tomorrow and maybe knock off Central in next round.
GoZips88
Have no use for Can't or its fan base to be in Cleveland. Go BG. Let the rodeo clown and his kids pack it in for the year.
ZachTheZip
WBB up 48-36 at the JAR right now. Struggled early, but forced a bunch of turnovers in the 3rd quarter to pull ahead.

mes102
Tournament updated. Women's was chalk, and two upsets on men's side. #12 BG and #11 Miami heading to Cleveland. #5 Kent State and #6 Ball State staying home.
The Hip Zip
Toledo was actually favored by 2 as well so Eastern was an upset too. If the dork from Western had made a tip in with 0.4 left the dogs would have been 4-0 ATS

This is certainly a case for those who support the idea of re-shuffling teams at the end of the first round, before we get to the quarterfinals. Now, the #1 and #2 seeds get the more difficult games Thursday, and the #3 and #4 seeds are getting to play an 11 and 12.

Miami is playing really good basketball right now winners of 4 out of their last 5. Only loss was by 1 possession to #2 seed OU.
skip-zip
I'll take any #11 seed that just scored an upset win, on the road, and has to travel to Cleveland again in a couple of days to play us. And if you ask our players, I'm sure they'd feel differently and would love the chance to avenge their awful performance in Oxford a few weeks ago. Differences of opinion, but I don't feel Miami looks like a typical 11 seed team. They got off to a horrendous start, but finished strong. In the last 2 weeks alone they had wins over the #1, #3, #5, and #6 seeded MAC teams. Lone loss was by 1 possession to #2 team.
