I thought he one announcer who was a former WMU player was really good and right down the middle.  He explained the game in simple terms, and it was helpful to a guy like me who never played, to hear him say...Western should be doing this, they aren't doing this, Akron is really good at this.  And I know it's been mentioned before but those navy uniforms are really sharp.  just wish they had put a stripe of gold on them somewhere.

Pretty easy to view Zips basketball this year. 

 

Here is a link that lists Akron's ESPN3 schedule. The next two (UB & NIU) are on ESPN3.

 

GoZips dot com schedule indicate the two after that are on CBS (OU) and ASN (BSU). 

 

 

 

In addition, every game day @ZipsMBB tweets out all the information, and a ZN member typically posts it in the game thread.

So espn has the EMU game in Ypsilanti on Friday the 10th but the EMU site has it on the 11th. Also, Akron athletics is planning a trip to that game. I wonder when the game really is?

Since it is listed (in the link I provided) as a 14 day wildcard game, the network has to let the schools know 14 days before the game, expect to hear soon. Apologies if they have already announced and that's why it's listed on ESPN's site.

I'm guessing CBS Sports picks up the Akron/EMU game. The Akron/Ohio game was picked up by CBS Sports, however, the game date still stayed Saturday but the time moved to a noon tip-off. More times than not if CBS Sports picks up the game it moves to Friday, but the possibility does exist that the EMU game could get picked up and still be played Saturday.

ESPN website must have reflected it before it was made official. The game has been picked up by ESPNU and will air at 7PM  on Friday February 10th.

In fact, our schedule the remainder of the 2016-17 season blows.

 

On of the best things about Zips hoops is having a few beers and some food on a Saturday afternoon at a campus bar and then watching the game afterwards.

 

It's late-January and we now have absolutely zero Saturday home games for the remainder of the season.

I'd be right there with you Captain if it wasn't for the fact I would have missed the game had it stayed on Saturday as I have an all day obligation in Cleveland that day. I get that being good comes with the price of getting your games moved around to fit national TV schedules, but it blows we will end up only having 1 Saturday MAC home game this season. I wish they would cap it so that no team could have more than 2 home games flexed from Saturday to Friday.

We cannot have it both ways.  If this program wants to get into the top 25 or get an at large bid, we need the national spotlight so moving the games to national TV on Friday is a great thing.  This program has a chance to get some national attention.  All it needs to do is keep winning.
