ZippyRulz
Huge win. Now start worrying about a letdown vs. Kent.
MDZip
Hands down no question the biggest winner of the Bowden era. OU was 8 and 2 and throttled Toledo last week. If Kato can continue to play like that we should beat Kent and I'd give us a reasonable chance against Toledo in the MACC. ZachTheZip
I believe this is the first time in program history that Akron is bowl eligible before the last game of the season has been played. A win against Kent would also make this the most successful regular season in program history.

Huh? We'd be at 7-5, which is not even close to the 7-3-1 mark set by the 1992 team in our D-1A era. And if "program history" is the time frame, we've had 10 win teams going back before our D-1 days. NWAkron
Just got home from game 11:20P.M.!! Sitting/Standing through that game was surreal. When there are only a few people standing around you at the end of the game, you sure do form a bond with them. 1. Probably the biggest win I ever remember attending at Infocision. 2. All Hail Kato Nelson 3. I never saw a QB who could fake a hand off better than Rourke 4. Beating Ohio U in football is almost as sweet as beating them in basketball. I can't wait to troll their message board. Their basketball fans are the biggest $%^& in the conference. I can't imagine what's going on with their football fans tonight. 5. As for Woodson, I just feel sad for him. I don't know what happened but how could whatever it was be worth it. We have players breaking their legs in games, and he can't see past himself. 6. Still not a Bowden fan. Geez, he has had the luck this year. 7. This game was a complete and total surprise. I did not see this coming. 8. And the event staff...please lighten up and get over yourselves...and let the 3500 of us who attend enjoy the game.

skip-zip
As much as I was pleading with everyone on this board to have "hope" over the last few days, I have to admit the following: 1) When I saw that Kato was our starting QB, my hope faded. 2) When OU scored on their first drive in 2 plays, my hope faded even more. 3) When OU took at early 21-10 lead, I think I lost all hope. 4) When the officials tagged us with about a 10 to 1 margin in penalty yardage, and kicked out 2 of our players, it was official that everything that could go against us was surely going against us. And somehow.......We overcame all of that, and won the game. Wow.
NWAkron
On Bobcat Attack they said Kato was injured on the final play so we would probably lose to Kent. I listened on the way home to Joe Dunn interview Kato. Sounded to me like he was ready for Kent.
