University as a whole struggling for coins If you think the Zips run a choir boy athletic program I dunno what to tell ya

Our basketball program has been clean under both KD and now Groce.  The suspensions of Diggs, Harney, and Treadwell wouldn't have happened at most schools.

And the point-shaving issue was over 10 years ago.  But if we are going to trade in rumor and speculation lets go all out and say that: Nick Dials was going to blow the whistle and that's why they fired him?  :tomato:

No but the way Dials was fired and the timing of it speaks volumes about that program.

Toledo is the dirtiest program in the MAC

Fact: Willie Jackson former Cleve Hts &Missouri transfer commits last Dec to Akron, expecting KD to pay off $18k car payment (present fr Missouri). KD says no way, goes to Kent & Senderoff also passes. Kowalczyk quickly agrees.

Also look up article fr Toledo Blade about Athletic Dept holding money from parking & having lose cash available not on the books.

Yes Toledo is a dirty program!! Every coach in MAC knows it.

NCAA & FBI just have bigger fish to catch.

I sure hope KD reported that to the NCAA.

If you're cheating and can't win the MAC, you're not very good at cheating.

That's the greatest summation of that program I've ever read.

You do realize that Dambrot was FORCED by the admin. to do something about Treadwell?  He argued vehemently against it. He also argued against throwing the Puerto Rican  drug trafficker off the team, so there's no place for throwing rocks here.  Groce was hardly clean in Athens - he brought in a couple of very questionable people who played key roles in his post-season success.  And part of his problem at Illinois was a repeated string of off-court issues among players in the first 2-3 years.

BIG difference between bringing on players with off-court issues and paying players.

I also hope you understand I'm talking about programs as a whole, not just head coaches.  Players being paid isn't just a head coach - it's a coach doing it and everyone else looking the other way.  Clean programs stay clean with good checks and balances.

Checks are always a bad idea.  Has to be untraceable cash.
