App State comes in at 2-3 with wins over ETSU and William Peace (new one to me) and losses to Charlotte, Iona and Delaware.  They are led by 6-3 senior guard Adrian Delph who scores 19.6 ppg.   Last year they were 17-12 overall and 7-8 in the Sun Belt Conference.  They were projected to finish fourth in the conference coaches preseason poll out of 12 teams.

I have not been able to corroborate that our Zips and the Estero (High School) Wildcats held a secret Huggins-esque midnight scrimmage as prep for the App State game later today.

I hate to get ahead of my team -- not knowing how many eggs will be layed -- but what does the bracket look like?  Could we play Vermont for fifth if both win today?  Vermont's beating Evansville 39-33 with about 10 minutes remaining.  I had originally visioned an Akron-Vermont championship game, and the matchup may still be possible.  Both teams were top-100 RPI coming into this, but were upset on Monday.  Excellent matchup if it occurs.

Not sure if FloSports is doing this intentionally to try to hold viewers through warm-ups but both baskets are JUST off-camera. Based on form, it looked like the Zips were hitting at about a 71% clip.

KJ Walton should be a commanding force on offense, but he remains invisible. Not good. If the Zips can't even get easy looks, they're in trouble again. He needs to be this group's Tyler Cheese.

I just don't think this team has enough offense.  It surprises me a little that, even though they're small-school guys, that neither of the freshman guards could provide a spark on offense.  As of now, we're very hard to watch.
