clarkwgriswold
The Zips get the week off for exams then return to the JAR next Sunday to face 1-6 Jackson State. Jackson State's record is a little deceptive as they've generally been in their games and their one win came in their last game against SMU. Prior to that they lost 95-78 in the cavern known in Oxford. They play TCU this Tuesday. Ken Evans and Trace Young lead Jackson State scoring each at 14.1 ppg. Evans is a 6'5" RS guard while Young is a 6'8" RS senior guard/forward. Young leads rebounding at 6.4 rpg along with 6'9" junior forward Romelle Mansel. They were predicted to finish 7th in the SWAC preseason poll, placing no one on the first or second team. The Tigers' new head coach in former Cav Mo Williams. Willams brought Young with him from Alabama State.

Blue & Gold
Just noted this in the Women's thread, but after the men play at 2:00 the women battle Cleveland State at 5:00. I'm planning on staying for both games. Should make for a fun Sunday afternoon!

clarkwgriswold
I don't think Jackson State will be a pushover. The Zips should win but I don't see it as a blowout.

NWAkron
Predictable small crowd. I see Guthrie is forcing or convinced at least half the band to show up during holiday break. clarkwgriswold
Mo Williams just called timeout, walked to half court on the floor, threw up his arms and screamed "what are you doing?" at his team. LOL

Noticed a couple turnovers and getting caught dribbling in circles but was nice having him take pressure off of X. Thought against a better MAC team he may be in trouble. I think Groce knows that if he doesn't leave him on the floor to get the minutes to find his way that he may be elsewhere when he finally does.
