Hate to break it to the 4 Ypsilanti Eagles fans out there - they're not good. WMU in a dog fight with Iowa midway through the second half - 7-7. LoyalZIP
After 4 weeks, the cream is beginning to rise. Toledo, Ohio, Miami all with quality nonconference wins thus far. EMU at 2-1 as well, though they have looked less impressive. The rest is a crapshoot.

LoyalZIP
Rough showing in some noncon games today. In the league, Toledo lost their QB against WMU but had a great 2nd half and won big. Ohio absolutely hammering BG on the road.

MDZip
And that resounding thud noise you just heard was the end of the MACs 16 year streak of beating a B1G team. What a way for the streak to end.

GP1
There is some pearl clutching on the board about the MAC not beating the Big Ten this year. That's not worth worrying about. What is cause for worry is the poor showing against other G5 schools yesterday. EMU lost to Jacksonville St. If I'm not mistaken, they were D2 not long ago. Horrible loss for Kent, Ball State and EMU blown out by G5 schools. NIU, CMU and Buffalo lose closer games, but still.... These measuring sticks are important for the MAC on a credibility level because they are results against like schools. The MAC failed badly yesterday. However, when television revenue trumps winning, these are the results.

Of course it's not, I take it you have no interest in interesting statistical anomalies, it does seem that everything tends to be very black and white in your world. Sorry for the "pearl clutching". 🙄
