Why do we only have 8 players available? More defections? I see Vesicky is there hurt or sick. Is Riley still on the team? Also, why does the audio link connect to last night's men's game? 🙄 Is there no radio broadcast this year?

Tough to compete with a program like Toledo with a small rotation. 20 point loss, but Alexus Mobley had another really good games. Almost half Akron's points. Was worried she had also hurt herself absorbing a hard foul and then had a pained look on her face and couldn't get up. Apparently someone was stepping on her hair. 😂

Nice win tonight vs NIU. They were outscored by 10 to 3 at the end, but NIU missed a game tying layup at the buzzer. Alexus Mobley outstanding again, but Zakia Rasheed 7-12 from three.

A very good win, especially considering Zips only had seven players available.

That's the Zakia Rasheed I've been waiting 3 years to appear!  Hope she keeps it up!  And BTW, the Huskies, if you didn't hear were the team to end Toledo's 20-game home winning streak...only to lose back-to-back games now to Ohio and Akron!   Strange happenings in MAC WBB!

Chalk up another win for the Lady Zips against EMU today!

Nice of the EMUs to basically give up down 5 with 23 seconds left and fail to foul the Zips for 16 seconds. Reminded me of our coach's bad strategy at home against BGSU last year. 🙄

Well done!  Looks like they picked up Ellen Kinnaird from the volleyball team, she got 60 seconds PT at EMU according to GoZips.com (isn't that 1 minute?).  So we're up to 8 on the available roster.  Winning with 7!  Wow.

Yep she is listed on the roster now. I want to see her out there blocking shots. 😊

Ellen Kinnaird is actually Evan Wilson's girlfriend 😂

Welp. So much for that. Hard to win with a 3 point 2nd quarter. Was hoping for a little better effort with Buffalo on deck and a trip to Stroh following. Not sure what to even look to see from the team in its current state at this point. Maybe we can get up for the pair of Kent games in February…

I guess it's kind of hard to tell what kind of team you have with so many injuries, defections, new players and personal issue absences. I've watched most games on the stream, but not attended any games like I normally would due to another year of inconsistent play and inconvenient tipoff times. Seems to me it would also make more sense to play the women's game first in a doubleheader so fans could arrive a little early and see the second half. I think more people would do that than stay for the entire women's second game. Just my opinion, but I've attended most women's games in previous years.

I wish I could agree but most of the student core doesn’t show up til right before the men’s game. Hence why they’re doing the bingo night and prize giveaways to try and get people to stay for the second women’s game. Some of the prizes include jerseys and signed basketballs!

Well, apparently they don't stay after either because there's only a handful left after the men's game. Good attendance for that game, though. The corner section was pretty full, too.
