The first two years out of Covid were electric. Downhill after that, last year was horrendous

What exactly did Guthrie do to discourage attendance at soccer games?

PDF box score....shows tonight's attendance at 1,487

Shots in the 2nd half were 8-0 for Akron.

Caleb Borneo and Jack Sullivan and Remi Agunbiade , to me, were the bright spots in tonight's game.

Borneo always seemed to be around the ball in the 2nd half.

Agree that Sullivan and Borneo looked lively and skillful. Hopefully Ferguson finds his form soon... they'll need another scorer in the box. I've also thought Roman has been one of the more consistent players in both games - really like his hustle and ability to make things happen. Overall, the team looks like a group that's putting the pieces together so hopefully that means a big upside. Excited to see how they perform after a week of practice against a strong side in WVU!

This team has the chance to be very, very good. Their possession and decision making seems... sharper compared to previous seasons (I could be wrong, just a feeling based on the first two games).

HUGE contest on Friday. Go Zips.

Through the Zips first two games, they have scored 4 goals. All four have been scored by subs! Three of the 6 assists registered have been awarded to subs! Might Akron score more if the subs play more? Realize the sample size is small, even tiny, but it appears that one of Akron's assets this season is depth- as others on this board have mentioned. Might the team max that possible advantage by running the other team down, being ultra aggressive, and using waves of fresh legs?
