TennZip Posted 18 hours ago Author Report Posted 18 hours ago Going into today's slate of NCAA soccer games, Akron is #13 in RPI and Creighton is #17 in RPI. Georgetown is #1. Great opportunity for the zips to move back into the RPI top 10. Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Great opportunity for a big win. The D needs to play tight with no mistakes to get a result. Creighton are prolific!!! Quote
WeRise225 Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Dang, no Sam Bunch tonight. edit: he’s in now, announcer was wrong Edited 11 hours ago by WeRise225 1 Quote
WeRise225 Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Extremely stupid red there on Remi. Just completely undisciplined 1 Quote
Reslife4Life Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Ridiculous red card. Now we have to go to providence and play without Remi Quote
TennZip Posted 10 hours ago Author Report Posted 10 hours ago Phenomenal effort by Sam Bunch to earn PK 1 Quote
ZippyRulz Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago in case you were wondering, like me: Athletic Wearable Trackers (GPS Vests) Function: Many professional (/college) players wear a tight, cropped vest (resembling a sports bra or harness) directly over a base layer or skin. Technology: These vests hold a small GPS pod between the shoulder blades that tracks distance covered, top speed, heart rate, acceleration, and physical exertion for sports science and performance monitoring. Reslife4Life Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Way to fight back and earn that PK! Keep it up and give us a chance to win Quote
TennZip Posted 10 hours ago Author Report Posted 10 hours ago The ZIPs should be very proud of the grit and toughness shown in the last 37 minutes. they played very inspired soccer and battled their hearts out 1 Quote
Reslife4Life Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago We need to bring that same 2nd half energy the rest of the season. For playing a man down, coming back to draw 1-1, Ill take it Quote
72 Roo Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Great game! Maybe I'm looking at it with Zip colored glasses, but I thought we were the better team. Creighton is nowhere as good as Georgetown. We had so many chances to add more goals, sometimes with the net wide open. But we did not finish. We had far more than Creighton. Last night I talked with coach Ger Coppinger. I told him I thought this would be a great game as I had heard they were really good. He said there was absolutely no fear of CU and we would beat them because our D was stronger. I believe he was right. The only difference is we failed to convert our opportunities as we usually do. This team believes in itself and can go deep in the tournament. Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Great outcome given the circumstances. The lack of discipline in getting red cards in big games is disconcerting though. This definitely cost us the win in the NCAAT last December against St. Louis and definitely could have tonight. I hope Coach Embick recognizes this and has a system of commensurate accountability in place. 1 1 Quote
TennZip Posted 9 hours ago Author Report Posted 9 hours ago as of 9 pm. zips stayed at 13 in RPI Creighton improved from 17 to 14 Quote

malonepioneer12 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Not sure why Remi left his feet on the red card….just not thinking. Literally a minute earlier made a great attempt that he put over the bar….absolutely great performance and effort made by O’Rourke, Pivia, and Drees…I’m not sure how those guys were standing at the end of the game….they gave an incredible effort. Also, great effort by Bunch coming off the bench. Edited 8 hours ago by malonepioneer12 1 Quote

Remi might be the best ST/F we have, and even if that's the case, this will give others a chance to gain confidence ripping shots on net. We need that more than anything this season IMO. Quote
