  1. Past hour
  2. Just waking up in Hawaiian Standard Time. How productive is our Offensive Guru today? ๐Ÿ˜
  3. It's not as inaccurate as we'd wish it to be...but it is probably inaccurate. Finley would be a reasonably good FCS QB. Probably.
  4. I think the slip of FCS instead of FBS is somehow....correct.
  5. Yet again the Akron defense doing their part. Figure they'll wear down and Miami comfortably wins if we're gonna keep pretending Finley's an FCS QB
  6. 1st drive- 1 and goal from the 4. Incomplete pass, stupid penalty, interception. 1st drive in second quarter- nice drive, missed 37 yard field goal. It just never ends...
  7. For years many have told us that we can't play at the same time as OSU because nobody would show up. I always thought that if Akron put a decent team on the field at a time an day of week people would go if the program benefited the athletes students alumni fans and general community around Akron. Surely, we could get at least fifteen to twenty thousand to show up for a big game. Well, I turn on the Toledo vs BG game that's starting at the exact same time as the OSU vs IL game, and the first words I hear are "Welcome to sold out Doyt Perry Stadium". Of course, I thought to myself that a lot of Toledo fans showed up..... Wrong, the stadium was almost completely orange. Bowling Green is a cow town less than 30 miles from a city smaller than Akron. There is no greater Cleveland 30 miles away. Their record is not stellar at 2-4, but there is excitement around the team. People showed up. This isn't hard.
  8. Today
  9. I don't know. We used the JAR for winter conditioning also.
  10. If Kent state loses today they may never win a FBS game again
  11. Why would the JAR be used over Memorial Hall in these situations?
  12. Here is an interesting article on what happens to college towns when enrollment declines. https://www.theargumentmag.com/p/what-happens-to-college-towns-after I guess for Akron it isn't impactful because Akron isn't a college town. The area around UofA is sort of like a small town, but the businesses seem to have right sized.
