  1. Past hour
  2. Question: On Paper he looks great for the Program. However is he just another Transient? Meaning is He someone that just moves around for the next big thing? Or is Moorhead looking for Ringers just to get to 7 Wins to save his Job?
  3. Today
  4. 15 minutes left and Akron has a 4% lead with 52% of the vote if I'm not mistaken. Quite the push today from Zips fans.
  5. There’s four wheels on a wagon, so I think the Zips and flashes should meet 4 times per year on the gridiron. If the season series ends 2-2, they can play a 5th “bowl game”. The first half is played at Kent Roosevelt, and the second half moves to Hoban’s field. Play the OT at Fawcett. It’ll be a Tik Tok sensation, which is all that really matters.
  6. I just voted and they are now at 51%. Hopefully that'll stay. Also I feel like you should change your name to X/Tavari got robbed of POY.
  7. Agree, while it sucks on many levels I hear so many people mention how they love watching the “MACtion” mid week games in November. It really does give MAC teams a certain level of national exposure. Has it really changed anything for those institutions? Probably not, so the impact is definitely debatable.
  8. I mean...as much as I hate the midweek games, this isn't wrong.
  9. Member of the Louisville state championship team. Considering he stayed local to play at Walsh, one would think Akron could convince him to stay in the area if he's someone the staff truly wants.
  10. NE Ohio sports fans have been through so much heartbreak, we just can't enjoy anything without expecting the worst outcome. It's magnified online, especially on forums and Reddit.
  11. Yesterday
  12. My vote just now got it to 50%/50%
  13. Help out the Zips Mangers by voting for them and advancing to go play in Indy! They must get to 51% by midnight or else they will miss out on this awesome opportunity.
  14. These are the figures that I saw. No school was close to $20M player spend this year. I'm guessing top schools next year will be around ~$15 million. I'm not sure if any school hits $20 million.
  15. There is no drama outside of this board
  16. I hear there's an ultralight flying of a remote clearing of grass in Hudson tonight headed for Chapel Hill, North Carolina, under the radar. I will continue to monitor and keep everyone advised.
  17. Based off this year's success, I wouldn't be surprised if both schools surpass $25M next season. I can't find any numbers but I'd guess Iowa's roster spend was north of $20M this season Edit: Iowa Swarm collective website is down ATM
  18. 7-13 in the big east doesn't seem very 'high major'
  19. Revenue share makes up a huge portion of these budgets, perhaps close to 50% of the overall player spend at these P5 schools. At least in the present state. I don't feel all B1G programs are the same. What OSU or Michigan are able to collect in NIL donations is going to differ from what Nebraska or Iowa can. I guess I don't know what you mean by far and away surpass. If Nebraska has a $10 million roster spend next year and Butler has $9 million I wouldn't view that as far surpassing or be a dollar value that Butler couldn't overcome. If Butler spends $9M I'm not sure how Nebraska could 2.5x it's current figure to get to a number of close to $15M, which is around when I'd say far surpasses. At least under the current parameters. Edit: If we see an increase to the revenue share cap I would be more inclined to agree. I feel an increased revenue share is where B1G and SEC programs could really flex their money. More so than donations.
  20. Wouldn’t it be nice if Coach just sent us all a nice message that he’s staying? Come on Coach, end the drama!
  21. I'm with you 100% on the revenue sharing as I understand schools divide it amongst all sports. I'd think the NIL coffers would be bigger for a litany of reasons. Even at a 3-1 football to hoops donation ratio, I'd still think B1G programs would far and away surpass - it's so hard to determine bc this stuff isn't publically accessible.
  22. Phew, I guess "Samurai Hoops" and "Halal Higgins" weren't great sources. Who could have guessed
  23. A weary ZipsNation looks to Charleston.
