  1. The video feed sucks. The audio feed sucks. The team twitter hasn't tweeted an update in 35 minutes. This is like high school sports. How can we complain about the ABJ not covering them when hey don't even take this stuff seriously!

  2. Last night was the first time I watched a Bobcats game. I assumed they were decent based on their record. I obviously gave them too much credit for beating Toledo. What I saw last night was what I usually see when the Zips play a Solich Ohio team. A team that doesn't have a lot of talent but plays hard and a coaching staff that comes up with a good game plan. After the Buffalo and BG debacles, not many Zips fans held out a lot of hope for the game last night. Ohio is definitely a better team than either one of those 2 putrid squads. Any posts about Ohio being far superior to Akron were probably based on a negative opinion of the Zips rather than a positive opinion of the Bobcats. After seeing them play, I certainly was not impressed by Ohio, but they were good enough to beat Akron for the 9th straight time.

  3. The Game: 1) Natson must catch that ball. He didn't. Stop the alibi's. He failed in that moment 2) the D played OK only when judging them against themselves. They are still lousy 3) This team has no discipline 4) No discipline, no heart 5) Goodman did as good as he could. he's a hero in my mind 6) OU sucks. OU beat us. Where does that put us. It's obvious. The Season: 1) Our biggest gain next year will be if Bowden fires/reassigns Milwee. Milwee is not ready to be a coordinator and has proved it in spades. 2) Objectively, the offensive staff is below par 3) This team has no discipline. That's on the coaching staff. They do not demand it. 4) Injuries happen, stop using them as an alibi 5) As said by another poster, our depth sucks and that's due to recruiting. It has sucked. 6) Start next year with an open competition at QB. I will take a dual threat QB (Cato) over a superior passer any day. 7) Joe Akron has not embraced the Zips b/c he knows good football. We do not consistently play good football. In fact this season we rarely played good football. Let's stop complaining about Joe Akron and start earning his support. 8) I support Bowden and expect him to make the corrections to the staff that will lead us to a better season. I want him to succeed. 9) We have a good team coming back and/or awaiting eligibility. All is not lost, but we did take a step backward this season and it will take 2-3 seasons to erase the bad taste of this season. 10) Silly me. I thought we had a shot at 8-4. Zip fans dream. 11) I believe in my heart of hearts that we should be at the top of the MAC. We lost an opportunity to get there this year.

  5. I thought that Ivey has been outplaying Josh Williams and deserves to start in front of Williams. During the second half Williams could not keep his man in front of him and he scored several easy baskets. Josh seems to be a step slow on defense and undersized as a small forward. KD finally pulled him and Ivey finished the game. Josh is a great shooter but needs to work on his defense. I have also noticed that Kwan seems to start out fast but cannot make a shot in the second half. I saw it tonight and in the game in Youngstown. Kwan did play great defense. Jimond, Big Dog and Antino carried the team tonight. Michael Hugh also did well backing up Big Dog. He has a great deal of intensity for a frosh. Utomi played for 3 minutes, missed a 3 and then got pulled. I have seen it a million times from KD with backup players, one bad decision and your gone. I would have like to see him play more. I wish these bench players would understand that you earn minutes playing great defense. A quick 3 miss will get you to the bench in record time.

  6. I agree that injuries suck but that's reality. The Zips have been very fortunate the last few years to dodge the injury bug that has bitten so many MAC squads. Injuries really hurt when your depth sucks. Depth sucks when recruiting isn't up to snuff.

  7. Great effort by the players. Nice job by the defensive staff. Too bad the staff on the offensive side of the ball is totally inept. If they keep their jobs, they should make the short drive to Creston for a classroom session. The Norwayne staff could teach them more in an afternoon about running a spread offense than they know now.

  8. If Natson would have pulled it in, it would have been a phenomenal catch. I wouldn't say he choked. If we want to point at what cost us points, it was the bad snap on the missed FG. I'll duck after I hit enter, but it was a good effort from a third string QB, who has had less than 2 weeks of practice since high school and a defense that has been abysmal showed up to play. Let's put this horrible, injury-riddled season behind us and look to a better year next year. I am not sure in-depth analysis is very applicable when in truth, the season boiled down to too many key players injuries.

  9. Those last 2 plays sums up our season. Stagnant offense can't make plays. Pathetic. Wide open pass dropped. Pissed Alum

  11. We needed Jerome to make a 1st Team All-MAC-type play on that deep ball. Let's go D.

  12. The University is broke, maybe we need to lower our expectations, be happy with the new uniforms. Twitter and streaming media is just a fad.

  13. Good job D!! I agree. OU's not a good looking football team. Even with our atrocious D, with a healthy Woodson we would have won the East.

  15. 6-0. All we need is a Natson Moment to take the lead.

  16. I would like to see them go with Jones at RB the rest of the game. He hits the hole and runs hard.

  19. If the kid isn't here for spring ball, I would assume that Kato is the true back-up. Kato has been learning the offense. We need a third option and I would guess this kid could be it. However, if for some reason Tommy's shoulder problems continue, we need to have someone to compete with Kato. I wouldn't be surprised if we offered another QB who could play next season - another JUCO or 5th year senior.

  20. Disappointing result but at least we weren't the number one seed and got ousted by Providence. Wow.
