I'm pissed. I DVR'd the game, stayed off the web all night, woke up this morning at 7:30 stoked to watch us play on primetime national TV against a blue blood program we had a chance to beat and I see this bullshit. Screw Nebraska and their shitty weather!3 points

This is the third game the Huskers have ever cancelled and the last time was back in the 40s so not having such a provision is a little easier to believe. Hopefully, but also unlikely, they have insurance to cover such a contingency. On another note, I must admit I was wrong and you guys were right. Never in my wildest dreams would I think the Zips could hold the Huskers scoreless for over 2 hours.3 points

Evaluating our play this far... That's the first kick in forever that we kicked out of the endzone. So our opponent won't start on the 40 for a change. I would say that's a huge plus to special teams if that continues3 points

Fitschen's leg on display. We haven't seen them go through the end zone much, in a while. TB's locker room talk on Fox was cool to watch. It is not something we normally get to observe. Brando giving TB lots of love, tonight.2 points

Exactly. For those that were not there, just know that your team was ready to rumble. We might have lost but they were going to know they were in a fight!1 point

Our team was ready...we’ll never know for sure the outcome had they played; but they believed they could win. They came onto the field with a confidence and bounce that made me proud to be in blue; when everything around us was red.1 point

KSU came up just short; unable to overcome the combo of Illini team and BiG officials.1 point

I am so deflated about last night. National television prime time under the lights against a Big Ten team for the world to see and this happens. I feel for the kids and staff and FU to anyone looking down hating on anyone who are positive about this Zips team believing they could win last night. I was one of them who believed and its YOU people who have that negative perception never giving the Zips a chance against Power 5 teams that hold us back. I watched Appalachian State run with Penn State who were favored by 24 take them to OT and Maryland without a Head Coach, Athletic Director and President upset Texas. Anything is possible. Sorry for the rant but I just hate to see negative comments when I come in here.1 point

That's one good thing about the cancellation; it allows some to continue their fantasies.1 point

They kicked off because the lightning hadn’t started close enough to the stadium at that point. There may have been some fudging in this to meet certain requirements (ticket sales, tv contracts, etc.) but the lightning started right after the kickoff and the refs immediately signaled the teams to retreat into the locker rooms. It was a great pregame and the energy was through the roof. Wish we could have played the game. Our Zips looked ready to rock!! Alas, we’re on to Morgan State.1 point

Screw Kiffin. Hopefully I won't have to hear about FAU anymore this season.1 point

I find it difficult to believe that the contracting parties wouldn't have expressly provided for such a contingency.1 point

I'm pretty bummed. I was looking forward to seeing the Mac Jolly Roger flying for next week's game1 point

Essentially, the Zips got paid $1 million to fly to Lincoln, Nebraska for a night and then go back home. And now we get to open against Morgan State.1 point

Fortunate to escape with a 1-0 win tonight. Pitt dominated the ball for a lot of the second half and took corner after corner. Defense gets clean sheet, but Pitt's lack of finishing was to blame.1 point

Why can't this be played in Akron where Its 90 degrees and no rain from July though mid September!!1 point
-
Nebraska will absolutely want to get this game in if they think they can beat us, even if it is tomorrow. They only won 4 games last year. This game could determine bowl eligibility for them1 point
-
I believe it would be moved to tomorrow. i.e. Western Michigan from last year(?).1 point

Flipping back and forth on my birthday between the Indians, Michigan/Notre Dame, and the Zips with an Octoberfest in my hand. With around 10-20 minutes until kickoff, here's to an excellent 2018 season. Dilly dilly ladies & gentlemen!1 point
