  1. Groce doesn't want to play a game with a big man slowing things down. That's okay

  2. I'm as lost as anybody, but K-lac was capable of fouling out of the game by the first TV time out. I do agree with your larger point however.

  3. Yeah. I understand the game is changing and "Small Ball" and what not. But I'm also scratching my head a bit.

  4. Sayles and McIntyre are still with the team. McIntyre is a walk on. Walters is also back as a walk on.

  6. Hmmm. I would be very interested in seeing Northern Iowa join the MAC.

  7. St. John's isn't what it once was but a kid with a ride there should still be able to be a contributor in the MAC. Technically, Marquelle McIntyre is a holdover from the Dambrot era.

  8. No to any football-only additions. They have not worked out even once. However, should Buffalo get taken by the AAC, I would hope we can add James Madison as a replacement.

  9. Top 4 candidates for steal of the Steelers draft according to Curt Popejoy. Everyone knows about the big names from the Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 NFL draft. But who will be the steal from this class? Here are our four top candidates. LB Ulysees Gilbert III If we were ranking these guys, Gilbert might be our top choice. Despite being a sixth-round pick, Gilbert is in a position on the Steelers to have a rookie impact on special teams as well as a sub-package linebacker. His speed and athleticism make him a candidate to play inside and outside and with the Steelers depth at linebacker, we could see him on the field early.

  10. His donations are one thing, but the meteoric rise of LeafFilter looks good for Akron as a whole. It has great company reviews when it comes to its employees. Him in the public eye with the football team and University as a whole is a positive for a school with quite a few black eyes in recent years.

  12. There are no reports about dropping down, and Green never suggested that in his comments. What you read was That was Lee's and others suggestions over the years. It would be a huge move, as you suggest, but if it does happen, there will be a LOT of conversation about it beforehand. LeeAdams has made thoughtful discussion points on this in the past. And as he says in his post No more MAC and a coaches exodus. Even though MSOC and even WS&D would probably be able to continue their excellence, the others would become at best competitors in their new lower level leagues. Heck, you're about to watch two nationally ranked teams (mens and womens track and field) begin their slouch to mediocrity here at The U, why not bring down the others.....
