Get that young man's signature tomorrow! Go Zips!
That's the problem. He's not that good. He may look good against 6 foot tall kids in the Akron Canton league, but there's a reason he's a walk on and hasn't played a minute thus far. He's end of the bench talent. If he ends up in the wind, it's going to blow him to Malone, Wooster or Hiram.
NC Central "tournament success" is by being the tallest midget in the MEAC. They went 5-9 last year during OOC play last year with 3 of those 5 wins being against non-D1 teams. If they were in the MAC last season, they may have finished just ahead of WMU in the battle for last place. Akron by 15.
Just a little reminder: Tomorrow (Wednesday, November 13th) is the first day of the D-1 Basketball Early Signing Period. Most of the action should happen tomorrow, however the signing period runs for one week (11/13-through-11/20).
Go Zips!
Let's see, they would have to commit some penalties to get backed up near their end zone and then fumble or snap it out of the end zone (with no help from us)...twice. But hey it will be cold and snowy so who knows?
Was really impressed with WR Nick Kilbride of Perrysburg High School this weekend. He clearly stood out as a very talented receiver with great hands and at 6’3” and 185 pounds he seems to fit the D1 profile for size.. I was told he has MAC schools showing interest. This may very well be a guy that the Zips would benefit from going after if they are not already.
The Browns needed that on Sunday when they had a bunch of chances inside the 3 and couldn't punch it in. On other plays the Browns used 2 backs Hunt laid a couple of good blocks to spring Chubb.
ABJ: Zips remain in search of elusive first win
Offensively? They rank 129th in the country, averaging 255.6 total yards per game. They are also 130th in scoring offense. For the record, that’s second to last in the former and last in the latter.
