  1. Taylor Currie is a very fluid, versatile 4 that stretches the floor. Here are his HS rankings when he committed to Wisconsin. He also had offers from Michigan and Xavier. Some of his highlights from 2017. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Garvin is going to be a true freshman, and has been turning heads for the past year or 2. Multiple Cleveland-area articles on his rise. Here are his recruiting rankings according to 247Sports. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When Groce was at O-Who, he ran a guard-based, athletic front court system. His "bigs" were more stretch 4s, and his guards were all combo guards. Kellogg & Cooper ran the back court, Keely & Baltic ran the front court; that system got them 3 tourney wins. That is what this team is starting to look like. Athleticism at each position, and matchup nightmares. These 2 guys fit the mold perfectly I think.

  5. I'm very excited for both of these Zips. An excellent start to the recruiting class.

  6. I know a lot of guys at BW-3s who weigh 240 pounds and played HS football....doesn't mean any of them are "playable". There's gotta be a reason after 10 games that a player on this team isn't getting PT, and it ain't a conspiracy by the coaching staff against the guy......

  8. Coach Embick has taken the zips to 3 college cups in the past 4 years. He was never voted coach of the year in the MAC during his first 6 years. Long overdue award....

  9. At the risk of dating myself, your definition of a "combo guard" used to be the definition of a "guard".

  11. Daniel Strachan deserves to be on MAC First Team. If you think otherwise, you are not watching the matches.

  12. So they can squeeze a few more .500 P5 teams in? Unlike college football where half the teams are eliminated from competing for a national title before the season even begins, every team in college basketball actually has a path to a national title. Besides it was only 1 1/2 years ago that a 16 seed knocked off a 1.
