  3. They have flown to Dekalb in the past. The plane resembled the one in the movie Major League. I'd rather take the 6 hour bus ride.

  4. Love him or hate him, if they have a good A-10 season, Coach D deserves huge Kudos. I read an article about how they have no arena (or even home locker room/practice facility) until their arena is finished being remodeled next year. They're practicing at the university rec center. Amazing coaching job to have his team in this position, regardless of non-conf schedule.

  8. DeKalb. Ugh...I've been following this so long I remember Frenchy and Dunn reporting that Matt Futch saw a ghost. This may have been after the last time the Zips won out there.

  9. St Louis was a decent win, but the other 3 conference wins were against the dregs of the A-10. Let’s see what they do against RI, Dayton, VCU, etc.

  11. My dad used to take me to see professional wrestling at the Civic Center. Saw the Road Warriors and Macho Man there. Great times. One night we stayed late & were able to talk to Jake the Snake & Ted Dibiase (sp?) after almost everyone else had gone home.

  12. Fantastic comeback for coach Melissa Jackson's Zips yesterday, outscoring BeeGee 14-0 over the final 2:29 to defeat the Falcons 76-73 at Stroh Center. There's no quit in the women, as this is the second major fourth-quarter come-from-behind victory, following the game at St Bonaventure where they made up a similar large deficit in the final quarter of the contest. Haliegh Reinoehl scored a career high 26 to lead the wahine Zips.

  13. ...98 games in the Premier League puts DeAndre Yedlin on the verge of joining a select group of Americans to have achieved the century mark in the English Premier League. Only three other field players besides DeAndre have started more than 30 games in a season (Geoff Cameron, Clint Dempsey x2 and Brian McBride x2). ... ... To me it is unreal how undervalued his accomplishments are. Regardless, he’ll continue to be a polarizing figure for his country. He’s a great player and with Reggie Cannon and Sergiño Dest pushing him at the right back position for the national team will be challenged for years to come. For club he’s battled for his career and doing some amazing things in the top flight league in the world. Cheers to DeAndre Yedlin as he hopefully rings in the new year with a century in the Premier League.
