I tried to listen to them, but had to cut them all short. Listening to people who performed no research, who have zero presentation skills, and who did little else but read roster names...mispronouncing most of them...ain't for me. Arth was 2-10 last season. This team is more talented, deeper, is playing in the MAC, and our staff is P5 level. The bare minimum number in the win column for this team is 4. I'll stick with my 6-win prediction.

I had some insomnia and I found these four 2022 Zip football projections on line. If they have been already posted with the nation, please have one of the moderators remove this post. Of the four predictions, three are very bad predicting 2-10 seasons with only the first Joe Dunn interview being positive. The moderator on this show had a lot of facts and predicted a bowl game for the Zips. However, the negative projections seem to be missing a lot of facts and transfer information. Has anyone stopped by the Student Union store lately? I was in Akron last week and thought about running in quick, but didn't make it. Online they've added another hoodie, hat, a few shirts, golf balls and that's about it. Really want a nice Nike hoodie, hat and a new decal for my vehicle. My high school just went through a similar rebrand this summer and their store is absolutely packed with new apparel. By now UA should have a decent amount of gear available. Especially with students returning to campus. It shouldn't take this long...

Most places have the over/under Akron win total at 2.5. Seems like easy money taking the over. Beat SF and just squeeze out two conference wins.

I know there is a shortage of things out there, so not to complain, but a little disappointed I still can't really buy anything with the new logo on it yet.

I think it's easy for people to look at the recent history of the Zips and assume it'll be another joke of a season. That's the easy thing to do. I of course don't think we'll be a top 25 team at the end of this season, but I do feel Akron has the potential to do really well and surprise many people out there. JoeMo has just begun, but he's already light years ahead of what Arth could ever accomplish.

This is the cost of going through a rebrand. People aren't going to be interested in outdated merchandise with the old logo. Most teams only sell it as massively discounted prices. My guess is that the UA bookstore is trying to sell everything at normal prices? The Guardians went with a complete name change and rebranding and somehow managed to get gear ready for this season.

We have 19 offensive linemen on the roster. 17 of them are either Sophomores or Freshmen.

That’s the thought I had. We were up 2-nil in the 2nd half & it’s just an exhibition, so Jared should be experimenting with lineups and getting some PT for most on the roster.

Not bad breakdowns considering the players they thought we had. Not a single one mentioned Cam Threatt, Victor Jones, Curtis Harper, KJ Martin, Nate Thompson, Anthony Whigan, Caden Clark, Tim Terry, Daniel George..all of which should be upgrades who make a difference.
