  1. Hopefully it’s a no-nonsense win. Guessing Buffalo makes a game of it for a half+. Love for someone to ask coach for a latest timeline on Nate Johnson’s return. Would be nice to see this team at full strength for at least a week or two before the tournament.

  2. I guess this is worthy of beginning a new thread. Spring news, observations, rumors, & Spring Game takeaways.

  3. Nate had a soft cast on his hand at JMU.

  4. Buffalo is a small, young team that wasn't even remotely impressive the last time they played the Zips. The Zips need to atone for their sorry performance in Virginia last week and take care of business tomorrow. Zips by 17. The "WE-want_WIL-son" cheers will unfortunately fall on deaf ears.

  5. @Blue & Gold It’s very much a fun sport - we have weekly practices, for Adult (Co-ed) and a youth development team as well. You’d be very welcomed to watch a match, or be involved in any capacity. @Captain Kangaroo Ha, yeah. I apologize for the necrobump - I came across it looking for digital tracks from my Dad to piece together some things for the obituary and stumbled upon this. Love he even included our old home phone number.

  6. This is definitely the textbook definition of a "necrobump".

  7. I was one of the few people who watched the Buffalo @ NIU game last evening. Buffalo lost by 4 and was 9 of 22 from the FT line. Also near the end of the game, an NIU player's shoe slipped off and a Buffalo player threw it into the stands resulting in a technical foul. Good times.

  8. I would argue Moorhead may have taken over a roster in worse shape than Arth and I can only imagine how bad Arth’s final recruiting class would have finished had there not been a change. I don’t believe there would have been any progress had Arth been retained. There are a number of reasons we’ve covered that made the 2023 season a disappointment. My point was this program is actually competitive as opposed to the previous staff’s teams. Let’s not forget the many blowouts under Arth. We can look at a number of games this season where one less dumb penalty, or one less poor decision at QB, or one more made FG could have changed the outcome of the season. The same can’t be said during Arth’s years. All that being said, the only thing that matters is wins and enough of those have not happened. Moorhead isn’t wrong. He could be getting paid a lot more somewhere else as an OC. He doesn’t need to keep saying it though.

  9. I still feel we were just a mediocre QB away from 5, maybe even 6 wins.
