The 7-4 Zips next head to Princeton on December 30th to face the 9- 4 Tigers in the last game of the OOC season. The Tigers also will not play until the 30th and are coming off of a two-point win at Rutgers. Tigers’ scoring Is led by 6’4 junior guard Lee Xavian at 16.1 ppg. 6’7” junior forward Caden Pierce is second on the team in scoring at 12.1 ppg while leading rebounding at 7.2 rpg. These two are considered by some to be the two best players in the Ivy League. The Tigers were picked to finish first in the Ivy League preseason poll, ahead of Yale.1 point

I don't think they've updated Tavari's weight and height since he was a freshman. He is a good 6 feet tall and has put on a little weight through the chest and shoulders. Young is a fine freshman. I just hope they can hold onto him.1 point

The issue is Tavari's scoring improvements are actually a hindrance to the overall offense. Tavari iso ball is a real problem, and it stifles what was getting us 80+ ppg which is ball movement. I don't think the game comes as quickly to Tavari as it does Young, which is why when Young is in there, the offense operates smoother. Young has better vision and is able to play more chess vs. Tavari's checkers.1 point

I don't recall. I'm just hoping he gets better in the next couple of weeks and comes back as the guy we thought he was. He's a great kid. He's taken full advantage of his scholarships by working hard academically and is very personable.1 point

I'd really like to know whether Jojo Harris was playing injured before they sat him down for the last few games. If he's the guy I though could be, a 12 ppg/5 or 6 rpg guy, I think he makes a real difference if and when he comes back healthy. If he was healthy when playing before being out, I'm not sure he's that guy. I like Bowen Hardman when he's hitting shots. When he's not, he doesn't bring much as he's not a good defender nor is he a facilitator or a rebounder. He's a backup and offense off of the bench, not a starter at this point. It's not for a lack of effort.1 point

I updated what’s needed at each position. ST may not be accurate as we may already have our starters on the roster. Unless someone else portals, the offense is set with the exception of WR. Defense still needs 5 DL, 1 LB, and 4 DBs. So plenty of action incoming from the portal.1 point

UMass is obviously paying their coaches more than the Zips. It would be sporting of them to at least forfeit their training table to make things fair.1 point

Leading rusher at Colgate the past 2 seasons (not necessarily impressive stats but still), and still has 2 years of eligibility. At minimum should replace Kellom’s production id think. Like this get.1 point

Sorry that your life hasn't worked out as planned. You should seek out some counseling instead of making rants on a sports fan message board1 point

Yeah, tbh I expected more out of Okonkwo. I didn't think he'd contribute much offensively, but the highlights that I saw gave me the impression that he would be a force defensively and eat up boards. I guess that's why they call them highlights though. They typically only illustrate the good. Please don't think I'm placing all the blame on Okonkwo. I just thought he would be a big enough defensive presence that he could make up for shortcomings elsewhere. That doesn't appear to be the case so we'll just need more from everyone else. Hopefully Groce can find a solution.1 point

I agree Clark, but what about their "other" alma mater? Why not schedule a home/home with the Zips in the future?1 point
