Considering the first game is 2 days away it would seem likely that jersey deal never materialized. Assuming Wendy's was the national company that reached out about it originally they must have opted into a less expensive, or at least shorter term deal, to get naming rights to the campaign along with likely some signage. At this stage I'm not sure why they just wouldn't try to sell it to Kaulig at a discounted rate for 1 year to both show their appreciation for his contributions over the years and to buy themselves some time to find a longer term sponsor. Some money is better than no money.

I recently got to visit both UC and Xavier campuses on a little road trip to Cinci. Catholic is not my jam but X seems like a really nice school with a nice suburban-style campus. The soccer stadium is on the edge of campus across a perimeter road along with the baseball field. It seems nice but makes me appreciate that our soccer stadium is basically right on campus. On the other hand, their basketball arena (Cintas Center) is right on campus. Unfortunately it was locked up so I couldn't go inside for a peek - it would be fun to see the Zips play there. Speaking of right on campus, that describes UC's football stadium. It's not even fenced so you could go right on the field any time if you wanted to. When I was there, a few students were sitting in the lower stands reading or visiting and a couple were running the stairs. UC is a much more urban campus feel. I went into the bookstore which had a huge clothing/gear area.

Zips, I agree. At the MACATION event in Detroit Poff was the clear number 1 straight from Joe Mo and he wanted to now we"ll see come one leads me to believe CB is gonna be making his debut and he is electric ...! That's just my guess. i could be wrong

The way he breezes through the QB discussion and says "we'll see where it lands for week 1" isn't giving me much confidence in Poffenbarger's eligibility.

Maybe there's some method to the madness of testing ourselves on the road vs. a team we should be. So often our non-MAC road games are with teams on par or a step above us and we're trying to do two things at once - beat a competitive team AND learn how to win on the road.

As of August 30, our schedule while not released yet includes. 22 MAC games YSU Exhibition Weds Oct 28 (tentative) MAC Sunbelt challenge 11/2 (UL) and Feb 6th (tba) ESPN Invitational in Orlando Nov 23, 24, 25 Tulane 11/14 Bucknell away 11/17 Pitt-Johnstown 12/13 1 or possibly 2 games to be added still

Nice performance by Georgetown. Would have to imagine they and Akron will be the class of the Big East based on the early results. Also, thank you UCONN for destroying WMU.

Marty has been coming to the games with me since the nineties. He got season tickets a few years before the Info opened. There are three of us that grew up in Ellet and then went to UA and attended the games. This is so cool!

Well, Wake released their game notes yesterday with a projected depth chart but only for their team. Of course, our game notes are not released yet.😅
