i agree! while many people are calling to secure j.d. and keith, we need to look at every coach and make them want to stay. then again, maybe this will only make us better...

still nothing about it on gozips.com, but one of the softball players confirmed it for me. they already have announced the football assistant leaving. i find that interesting.

i completely agree with you zipalong. even the other coaches said that both ken and julie were class acts.

it is too bad. i had a lot of respect for her and the team seemed to like her a lot too.

so how does rifle fit into that? they are not in the mac because no other mac school has a team. are we just left off and not included in the point system for championships won and total number of sports? would that be the same situation if hypothetically we had one sport in another conference, like say basketball int he big 10 and everything else in the mac?

hahahaha...so we complete our triple crown, and our men's team placed higher than Can't too. oh and it looks like basesball split games, so would you like to edit or take back that first post of yours? i know you're too dense to do it, but i thought i would give you the opportunity

there's a handfull of sports that one school has that the other doesn't. i suppose only a dumbass like assholio could think he could compare apples to oranges

if you count women's golf against us (which we don't have) then we can count our rifle champion titles plus a national ranking against you... in fact, i think Can't may have the lowest class in the mac.

any word on how the training camp went?

that's really too bad. the program needs a lot of assistance from the athletic department. they really need to be brought back on campus.

yeah, jd just said tonight at the sports award banquet that hixon deserves anything that he gets cause he's such a hard worker and tremendous person.

i don't know about this. i was told as a piece of trivia once that we have only one of like 3 mascots in the country that are female... i wonder if athletics could come out here and clear that up for us.

yeah well $8,000 looks great when you have to pay out of state tuition which is closer to $20,000. luckly they have the akron advantage and a couple of things similar to it, so i pay only a couple of thousand above instate, but that's only if you had good grades in high school. i could have gone to dusquene for a lot cheaper, but that's the sacrifices of wanting to compete.here's just my spring semester:01/19/2006 Ugrd NonResident Tuition Akron 5,525.58 01/19/2006 Undergraduate Tuition Akron 4,475.96 total: 10,001.54 for one semester of classes, not including other fees.

ignore sloopy, he's perpetually pms'ing anyways, the fight song and eat'em are are great, except i think the fight song is a bit over played. the biggest thing that makes me cringe is having rough cuts. i know the director is trying to play as much as he can (i'm thinking about b-ball season), then he has to cut for the game. usually those cuts are rough, with many people ending at different times, or slowly fade as band members realize they shouldn't be plain. i think just working on that alone would make the band sound better than most people realize. as far as song selection, gozips is right...the song tempo needs to match the momentum of the game at hand.

i think that if tennis was provided on campus facilities that the program would imporve greatly. it could be just a little thing about having to get up every morning and driving 30-40 min away to practice and not having any student fan base because no one knows where they play. every team, not matter their record, deserves to be on campus where the majority of students and fans are.
