  1. University of West Virgina - Rifle
  2. Yeah, we had a couple classes together this semester and he was extremely excited to have a job waiting for him back home after he graduated this weekend. He is still training and looking into pro ball in Canada, but he's also got the security in going down to Florida to teach and coach. Really great guy and I know I'm going to miss him as a friend.
  3. I'm pretty sure that's team member Michael Tokarz's plate and he's from West Virginia, so he also had a custom front decorative plate.Yeah, I think I remember West Virginia plates on a puke green car. that's him and "the green machine"

  5. lol... she was a consistent lurker here at zipsnation and she would always ask me "Who is Captain Kangaroo?". she probably didn't even realize that she finally got to meet you in the flesh.
  6. The first time I met Barbara "Bunny" Hlivko was at Purdue where she took a road trip to watch the lowly rifle team. She asked me where I was from and then promptly verbally gave me my entire bio on gozips.com. Words like loyal and passionate do not give her justice. She was Akron's #1 fan, no argument. I've been lucky enough to get to know her and despite the age difference, she became a close friend of mine. She even came to my graduation as my guest last spring when my parents didn't. I know I for one will miss her dearly.
  7. man i'd love it if he just verballed with us and ended up going elsewhere so everyone else in the mac shit their pants for a few months.
  8. I'm pretty sure that's not possible because the cylinders have regulators built into them so you can't over fill them. Nice try though.
  9. depending on what time zone you're in... actually it took me a minute to figure out what you meant, then i remembered what tomorrow is. time flies when you're super busy.
  10. NCAA expanding number of teams in tournament
  11. lol... depending on how many roommates you have, but unless you have 4+ you're going to be paying a pretty penny for a shit shack in the university park neighborhood. i lived right behind subway and was paying $750 (with roommate) for a 2 bedroom utilities included. if you are going to look in highland square i would recommend just driving around the neighbor hood and calling the numbers on the for rent signs. that's how i found my apartment.
  12. since we now have to pay the transportation fee, living near campus (walking distance) isn't going to save as much as it used to. i lived on spicer for two years and now live in highland square. it's much safer, cleaner, better landlords, and cheaper. DON'T rent from kevin board/spicertown rentals. I had to sue that asshole to get my security deposit back because he mailed me an iou... not to mentioned the numerous health code violations. anyways i would recommend checking out the highland square area and if you can get a roommate that's a bonus. look on craigslist too. i'm in an older apartment in highland square paying $565 plus electric for a 2 bedroom. also you'll find that internet is an extra you pay for and that the safety factor is negatively correlated with the distance from campus factor.
  13. they weren't calling the fans pussies, they were yelling at the refs calling the players pussies. if it was a Can't person saying it about our team we'd be all over them about how classless it is. it's no different.
  14. I thought they were fine from where I was sitting. And the Akron guy at the end of my row started calling Gonzaga a bunch of pussies (yelling of course) and that made me embarrassed as a fan. Quite unnecessary. btw, the band sounded good.
  15. from my understanding, one of the refs was a mac ref. tough crowd though. toward the end everyone was cheering for gonzaga... except our few rows of akron fans.

  17. i actually posted this in the akron airport on my way to portland, and guess who was sitting across the isle one row in front of me? coach porter heading out to seattle to watch steve in his opener. which they won 3-0

  20. no but you know what i didnt find?anyone from Can't?
  21. You must have some incredible eyesight.haha i literally saw this and found it myself too. It looked like everyone was on there and i just started looking and of course the last place i looked, there he was.well after you found him, you didn't have to look anymore...so it would have to be the last place hahavmd9, you are technically right, and that's the best type of being right
  22. it looks really empty because it is, but you also have to remember that due to safety reasons, they have to keep at least every seat from the firing point extended and forward empty.
  23. WOOT!!!I'm there pending the ticket office's phone call. I'm flying in Thursday morning and flying out red-eye Tuesday night $400. My dad's picking me up, and I'll be staying at home down in Salem. Haven't been home since last spring break. Too many stars aligned themselves for me to ignore.
