  1. Hey trolls. Zips schedule in the 70's, OU in the 300's. Nice try.
  2. Only minimal GA tickets available online yesterday. $8 in fees per ticket did me in.
  3. Speaking of their arrogance: In Coach's post game he was telling Frenchy about the locker situation. This Zips were stuck in what he called a trailer and were having their pre game talk. I guess the PSU players decided to do their stretching right in front of the trailer and were making noise. Someone from the Zips asked them to move and they didn't. Coach then told Steve: "and they got shellacked for it". He also talked about their being a Big Ten team on the floor and they weren't the ones that lost. I don't think the fans are the only ones that can't stand some of these big schools, especially the league bottom feeders that think they are good just because they are in a particular league.
  4. Yahoo link shows 2 fouls on both Zeke and Pat already...anyone watching that can update as to what is going on with them? thanks
  5. Was doing a little trolling when I came across this gem: bobkitty I find it amazing how some of them obsess on us over there. Might have something to do with us having a MAC football championship that has occured in the last 40 years and a NCAA championship under our belt.
  6. I appreciate the warning, but note the smiley face at end of my statement. Also, for what it is worth, not a booster by definition
  7. Coach Peltz's boy is friends with my sons. Perhaps I can put in a word for the Zips...
  8. I guess that blows the credibility of either article.
  9. I realize you have chosen to focus on just Xavier, but if you look at your own latest link, you will see that the numbers for the rest of the A-10 are the same in both. In reality, your link helped to validate the one I cited. Anyway, who knows why the Xavier numbers are off. tOSU's were off as well, but the others from the top that I looked at were the same from various sources. I wouldn't bet on any information gathered from the internet...
  10. I think I'll stick by the numbers in my link. A simple google search confirms the top numbers such as Duke's. I see a little more credibiliity in those numbers as opposed to the "tens of millions" and "sometimes 100 million" the writer cites in your link.
  11. 2010 This is from 2010. Gonzaga ranks 44, Butler 86, and Xavier 172. Akron is 146. Only a handful of "BCS" schools below Gonzaga, hardly any below the rest of them. Hope you have nice shoes to wear on your walk.
  12. I think some of you are off in your thinking based on a couple of examples of "3 pt shooting only" teams making runs. The mid majors that consitently make runs in the tourney do it with both, as DIG says. It is easy to site many examples of this: Butler, Gonzaga, and Xavier to name a few. Even Can't had inside people that you had to account for. I do agree with GP1 that a star player can be the difference, especially on teams that are "built" one sided. To me, OU's run was more impressive due to opponents knowing they just had to stop Cooper, and Offutt to a lesser extent, yet they didn't.
  13. Not so sure I agree with the writer about him knowing how to recruit. Looking at the rosters over his years at Can't, he really had just that one strong class ('06 w/Mckee, Q, Sherman, and Singletary). His other years were pretty average, with many underclassmen coming and going from the roster. Plus he inherited an elite 8 team, which didn't produce the recruits it should have his first couple of years.
  14. I was in the store right after they got robbed the first time. They are a nice bunch of people. Bought my mom a Zips charm there!
  15. Chances are we wouldn't have faced Michigan since we would probably would have been a 12 seed due to our higher SOS and power rating at the time. That being said, we may have had a tougher road as I'm not sure how we would have matched up with some of the 3 seeds. As said in this thread and others; OU got a great draw for THEM. Michigan plays the same style as OU (no inside game, lots of 3's), but OU did a better job and played better D on them. OU probably would have beaten Temple as well, as they were an average team just like USF. Yes, luck plays into it, such as their draw and even that bad technical on the jersey grab that totally changed the momentum of the game at the time. I have mixed emotions as I want all mid majors and MAC teams to do well, but as most I can't stand their fans or some of their players.
  16. I saw that thread as well. What a bunch of insecure people. They can't even enjoy their success without making it like everyone is against them. Who really cares what the rest of the MAC fans say. I am waiting for their "tOSU" fans can't handle our success thread...
  17. Speaking of Lehigh: how did that McCollum (sp) end up there and not UA or Can't? I remember him being really good in high school.
  18. and they are in an easy bracket. a way over rated Michigan team, and a second round against one of two average teams. won't be surprised if they make it to the sweet sixteen.
  19. That just helps make the point that Dambrot is not good at inbounds plays. He knew that as well and couldn't draw something up better than that garbage.
  20. Agree, that was an awful shot. Off balance, shot put. You have a $#&* 7 footer that NO ONE on that team can guard and you give it to hit 18 feet from the basket!!!! Go to overtime or possibly an "and one" As others have said; another in a long line of shoulda, coulda, woulda losses. These are the reason we are a good mid major and not a great one.
  21. Is everyone talking about the radio? ESPN2 switched over before our game even started.
  22. The Thundering Turds a 3 seed? I guess the multiple butt whoopings by the MAC doesn't mean anything.
  23. I bet Dru, Romeo, Ced, etc. thought the same thing.
