The All-MAC teams for 2018 have been released. PCCC was down 8 with 1 1/2 left last night and then went on a 14-2 run to win. It should be a decent test to see how we stack up against some of the other MAC teams considering we're the 5th MAC team to play them.

It's ESPN streaming service. The content on it is absolutely phenomenal. It has all the 30/30, it has a series of Kobe breaking down NBA players, has a series of Manning breaking down young QB's, has every out of market MLS game, tons of other foreign soccer, random college games, other misc sports, and series. I will definitely be renewing my subscription.

Yes, I was most impressed with Cheese. He got in a groove where everything was falling. Another player I was impressed with was E-Man. He seemed to actually have developed some some offensive moves. It's too be seen if this production will continue when we face bigger, stronger centers.

Oklahoma defense actually regressed when they let him go. For Stoops I'd like Akron to interview him because he's a local guy (from Youngstown), his dad coached at Cardinal Mooney for years so he has local connections, and he has prior head coaching experience. I'm not saying I'd give him the job, but I think he's worth at least a look.

I like it. I hope they move more games there. Paying $60 for a year membership certainly beats the $75/mo I was previously paying for cable.

The sample size is small, but based off of Kenpom the MAC outside of Buffalo looks pretty evenly matched. It should be a fun year to watch MAC hoops. Bowden took over the program 7 years ago and it's at the same place it was at in year 2. It's laughable that you're still trying to use it as an excuse.

Frank wins about 70% of his MAC games. Bowden has won about 40%. You're trying to compare apples to oranges again. Akron was projected to finish 4th in the MAC East because this staff has failed to recruit and develop talent.

It's been a pretty common theme for the past 7 seasons. Whenever Akron plays a good MAC team we lose by double figures. I'm not sure how there are some people out there who think no changes are needed. It's literally insane to expect to bring this entire staff back and expect things will somehow fix itself. At the absolutely very least we need a new OC and O-line coach.

An A? He's been here for 7 seasons, that's a lifetime in the coaching world. What I've learned from his whole 7 year, not just a 2 month period, tenure is that you can expect a perennial 5-7 win team who even in their best years will still get blown out by the better teams of the MAC. Maybe for you that's good enough, but for me it's not. We have the best facilities in the MAC by a wide margin, and we play in the most fertile recruiting ground in the MAC by a wide margin. The right coach could turn this into a consistent 8-10+ win team real quick. I appreciate Bowden got us out of the rut RI put us in, but he's taken us as far as he can. We need fresh blood to make us a consistent MAC contender. It seems so many are scared of change despite the fact Larry Williams managed to snag us a high caliber men's basketball coach and perhaps a quality women's basketball coach. Football is his bread and better. I'm confident he'll make a high caliber hire. Edit: I've always been one to stay out of the the recruiting hype and just wait 2-3 years to see how good a recruiting class really was. I still went ahead and looked at the recruiting sites to see if there was any legitimacy to your claim that we're recruiting better. 247 has us 8th in MAC recruiting rankings and Rivals has us dead last. It seems you stating we're recruiting better is pure specualtion on your part as the people who get paid to do it thinks we're still in the bottom half of the MAC in that department.

Cherry picked? Would you prefer me saying 5 losing seasons and 1 .500 season in 7 years? You are what your record says you are. Either way we win about 35% of our games against FBS competition despite playing in arguably the worst division in FBS.

He's had 1 winning season in 7 years and as another poster mentioned ~35% winning percentage against FBS schools. I can't remember who it was, but someone said the buy out is only $300k. Someone start a gofundme, I'll kick in some money.

I feel we've done a much better job of creating open looks so far.

It's too early for me to cast judgement, but I trust Larry Williams to make the right choice.
