4 out of the 5 MAC teams currently with a winning conference record are in the MAC East. No MAC East team is worse than 3-4 in conference play. 9 out of our last 11 are against the MAC East and another against Toledo. The home stretch is going to be tough, but we should see a lot of quality match ups.

Game 20- Northern Illinois Huskies

He also went something like 6-18 from the field with a couple of those makes being desperation 3s that somehow found the net. Overall I feel Akron has done a good job at making opposing #1 scorers work for their points. -

Hated the decision to foul. We're terrible in boxing out on free throws. They missed an easy tip in that could have tied it. -

I'm guessing it's one of those flags people wear like a cape. Just pure speculation. -
They gave the shooter 2 shots because he was fouled in the act of shooting before the buzzer, but he didn't release it before the buzzer therefore the make didn't count. The Buffalo player missed both free throws

Still best to cheer for Buffalo. A Buffalo win plus an Akron win tomorrow would slide us into tie for 3rd place in the MAC.

EMU offers a deal called the Little Caesars 4 pack. You get 4 GA tickets, 4 slices of pizza, and 4 drinks for $34. The same 4 pack without a drink and pizza would have cost rowdyzip $87. I'm sure plenty of other schools are offering better promotions than we do.

I went out and tracked down the attendance numbers for the past two seasons off the MAC website. I found it a bit lazy these numbers weren't referenced in the article. Buffalo, Toledo, & EMU are all already eclipsing last years averages. February and March are typically the highest attended games as you're in the heart of conference play, students are back in class, and are when you play your rivals. I know both Akron and Kent still have home games left against one another plus Ohio and Buffalo. I have to imagine BGSU, CMU, and NIU will all surpass their last year averages. I think MAC attendance is going to be up compared to last year because of the higher caliber play of the conference this year. This is at a time when attendance has been trending down a crossed the board for all sports. It's unrealistic to expect going from playing in a 1/3 filled arenas to sell outs in 1 season. It would take a string of seasons of playing at a high level to see the big jump in attendance that Alexander is expecting. 2018-2019 1 Ohio 5,048.0 2 Buffalo 4,681.0 3 Toledo 4,400.0 4 Ball State 3,205.0 5 Akron 2,341.0 6 CMU 2,058.0 7 Kent 2,044.0 8 WMU 1,786.0 9 EMU 1,703.0 10 BGSU 1,561.0 11 Miami 1,327.0 12 NIU 921.0 2017-2018 Ohio 5598 Toledo 3990 Ball State 3721 Buffalo 3570 Akron 2824 Kent State 2800 WMU 2226 CMU 2132 BGSU 1917 Miami 1671 EMU 1233 NIU 998

I don't think I've ever made a food purchase at the JAR. I grab food beforehand or afterward, typically at Euro or Score.

Single game tickets are outrageous, I'd agree. The value comes in getting season tickets, but that also means your're committing to go to more than 1 game. That said, price isn't a deterrent for students as admission costs are already built into their student fees and I saw maybe 150 students at the game Tuesday. I'm not sure why we don't see better promotions such as a $1 dog night. Those type of events seem help draw fans to Rubber Duck games. Also selling alcohol at the JAR would open up opportunities like having a craft beer night which could appeal to the younger alumni.

Yes, I was referring to getting to the 34.4% NCAA median. 34.4% - 22.5% = to a tick under 11%. -

Yes, I have to agree with Cheese doing an excellent job of running the point as of late. Earlier in the year I was a naysayer stating I felt he was only a 2 guard. I was proven wrong (not the 1st time). Since then he's gotten more aggressive attacking the basket which has led to him creating offense for both himself and for teammates. -
Yeah, in general Buffalo is the only great in the MAC this year, but there are still a lot of decent other ones. 11 of the 12 MAC teams are in the top 50% of D1 basketball based off of the NET rankings. Buffalo will beat any team in the MAC when they bring their A game, but that's tough to do for 18 straight games. What we saw last night is Buffalo played their C game and NIU A game was good enough to beat it.

I was referring to winning the MAC tournament. I'm not sure if you're aware, but Akron is a combined 40/170 (23.5%) from behind the arc during MAC play. The NCAA median 3P% is 34.4%. I'd classify an 11% jump in 3P% major progress. In fact, if we shot 34.4% on our 170 attempts, it would have translated into an additional 18.5 makes. That's an additional 9 points per game. -

Saul is in the last year of his contract so unless an unexpected turnaround these next 2 months I'd say he's definitely gone. Hawkins has 1 year left on his deal after this season. Whether he stays or goes depends on if WMU wants to be cheap or not. -

Even if we were an average shooting 3-point team, I'd think we'd be extremely dangerous in March the way we play defense. It's easy to complain about us taking "too many 3's", but it's hard to fault a guy like Utomi who took a 3 when the nearest defender was 10 feet away. There was another we missed in the corner when LCJ beat the press and passed it off to I believe it was Cheese or Banks standing in the corner with nobody within 15 feet. Those are the shots we need to make. Teams are going to pack the paint and make us shoot over them in Cleveland. Frankly, I don't see how we can win unless we see some major progress in the shooting department. -
They've looked good, but still would have to beat Buffalo twice...

This is an important game. With a win we'd slide into some sort of tie for at least 4th place and a pretty good chance at 3rd considering the Flushes play Buffalo who will be extra motivated coming off a loss. The MAC is a cluster $%@* this year. Who would have guessed through 6 games Bowling Green would be in sole possession of 1st place? -
For the ones who said Buffalo would run the table earlier in this thread, those comments didn't age well
