I saw multiple people tossing around the idea of the Zips needing to move on from Dambrot before he decided to leave for Duquesne. The same Dambrot who made it to 9 MAC finals. It's unreasonable to expect fans on an online sports forum to be reasonable.

There were 38 combined fouls called, 29 of which were in the 1st half. We didn't lose because of the refs. Buffalo was clearly the better team. That being said, the refs made this game unwatchable. If refs consistently called this many fouls per game, many of which were phantom calls that hurt both teams, I wouldn't watch another game of basketball in my life.

Glad I didn't take off work to go to the game. In fact, I'll probably end up turning off this stream at half-time.

The key to beating Buffalo is scoring more points than we allow. On a serious note, I'd do my best to limit Perkins and Massinburg while forcing Jeremy Harris to be the player to beat us. Harris takes 12.5 shots per game while only shooting .402 from the field and .268 from 3. Lets try to force him to take 16-17 shots. If he goes off so be it. At least we played the averages.

If you're trying to insinuate he's unhappy because of his job, then he should quit. He has already earned enough money to not have to work another day in his life.

11 teams have won their conference tournament thus far. Only 2 of them were #1 seeds.

Akron's 98th in KenPom (3rd in MAC) and 109 (3rd in MAC) in NET rankings. The reason these rankings like us so much is because most of our losses are by small margins and could have easily been wins had a few bounces gone are way. I subscribe to the mantra that you are what your record says you are, but I do think this shows we aren't that far off from being a really good team.

Any word on whether Roscoe's status is in question for Thursday?

Would it really be wise for the Zips to pay $40k per game to participate in some 3rd rate tournament when we can't even afford to repair our track?

Miami is rarely playing past Thursday these days anyways. I can see a Toledo-BG semi-final drawing really well given it's a rivalry game and the fact both schools are well within driving distance. On the opposite end the possibility for a highly attended semi-final exists. Really the only way it will be poorly attended is if it's CMU-Buffalo. This years tournament won't be setting any attendance records, but I don't see it being a disaster.

I'm not normally one to compliment the other team, but despite being down 20+, Miami is still playing with a lot of effort and diving after 50/50 balls. Despite what the score says, they didn't quit.

Can an 8 vs. a 9 seed really be a trap game? If we're looking past a team that finished 1 game behind us in the standings and beat us once, we have a problem.

I think, or at least hope, that people recognize Arth inherited a 4-8 devoid of talent and will give him a free pass for at least this season.
