We had much better ball movement earlier in the year. Now it seems we run down the court looking for the 1st contested jumper. Our defense has much improved, but our offense has suffered.

Like I said I felt we could stop them in the half court. Where they have been killing us is in the transition.

Noah has been getting beat badly by going for loose balls on the offensive end. His man keeps running down the court for easy fastbreak.

I've really only seen BG score on the fastbreak so the good news is if we actually start making baskets, we might be able to slow them down on the other end.

I wouldn't say this is a must win, but I'm with @1981 grad in the fact that losing this game opens the door to us potentially not being outright regular season conference champs.

No worries, I typically hold off on creating game threads expecting (hoping) that someone else will. Its been very quiet around these parts for the past 2 days and I didn't see a thread up for the game so I went ahead and created it. Oddly enough I believe I've only created 1 other game thread all season and the same thing happened. I got a laugh out of it more than anything.

I expect us to come in and play pissed off. I wouldn't be surprised if we beat BG by 15 in their own house.

Honestly, I didn't think Kent played all that special. They played good enough to win on a night that outside of Utomi we couldn't buy an outside shot. That will happen over the course of the season. We managed to scratch out a win earlier in the season against Ball State with an equally as bad shooting night. Tonight we fell a tad short.

For what its worth I brought 3 friends, all Akron grads, that haven't been to the JAR in years. They had a good time despite Akron losing. I wish we could get the JAR rocking like that more often.

It's one game. We will get our chance for revenge in 2 weeks. In other news has anyone gone to the micro brew on Sherman called Aqueduct? The beer wasn't that great, but its worth going to to check out the basement.

Yeah, I definitely think the package is designed for people who want to make those trip to Cleveland a full event and intend to see more than just the Zips play. Personally, I have no interest in it, but figured I'd pass it along in case one of you might.
