    I don't think there is any denying the fact Duquesne has improved. Last year they were the cupcake. This year they are beating the cupcakes. That being said it's not some miraculous turnaround. When you're at the bottom, there is only 1 direction that you can go.

    I don't think we'll see top 25 teams exclusively recruit mid-major players, but it's certainly going to be a tool they use.

    Zone defense typically creates a lot of offensive rebound opportunities. Considering 11 of our 21 rebounds came on the offensive end, that explains a lot.

    In a game in which Utomi & Duvivier went a combined 2/15 for 8 points, it's no surprise we got curb stomped. We just don't have enough on this roster to overcome that. Heading into this season I knew we'd have nights like this. I just hope the minutes the young players are getting exposed to now pays dividends in the future.

    Do I think Akron has any chance of making a Final 4? No, but what's so far fetched about making the round of 32 or Sweet 16? It's a single game elimination tournament, not a best of 7 series. You don't have to be the better team to win. You just have to put yourself in a position that a few lucky bounces swinging your way puts you in a position to win.

    I can't copy and paste on my phone but it mentions in the article that the donation piece towards priority seating will be eliminated as well. Figure I'd mention it as it will impact some of you.

    What we're seeing now is the team I expected out of Akron this season. I said when Groce was hired however many months ago that I was going to give him a free pass for this season as I don't think any coach in the country could have assembled a MAC contender given everything we lost and how short of a time frame we had to assemble a roster.

    For any coaching vacancy for any of the sports I follow, I'd want the coach that has the best chance to succeed. It doesn't really matter to me if they have ties to Akron or not.

    6-6 or 7-5 win seasons 7-8 years into the Bowden tenure just won't cut it for me. I'd like to see us push for a 9-10 win season one of the years. He needs to show he is capable of winning big at Akron.

    Pretty much all my posts you've seen are sports related (which I admit I'm opinionated about as I'm more passionate about it) because A) this is a sports forum and B ) I try to avoid internet political debates. But thanks for jumping to assumptions when you have little to no knowledge of where I stand politically.

    Fortunately for me then that I don't self identify myself with either political party.

    I'm in total agreement. So many individuals base their political views solely off of the political party they affiliate themselves with instead of looking at both sides of an issue and forming their own opinion.
