What Captain said x100. I might be critical at times of our football program as I want our football to grow to a similar level of success as our basketball program and be a perennial MAC contender. Given the resources we have and where we are located I feel it can. That still doesn't mean I don't appreciate the information you guys provide.

Teams that we played OOC combined to go 1-3 tonight. Kenpom had us at #83 Saturday morning, but us beating Buffalo by "not enough points" combined with our SOS taking a beating from teams we played earlier in the season losing has dropped us all the way to #99.

Starbucks already employees veterans and now has made it known they are looking to hire refugees so that taxpayers wouldn't have to assume the burden of taking care of them financially. Republicans respond by protesting. Silly Republicans just looking for things to protest over... http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/30/trump-supporters-threaten-starbucks-boycott-over-refugee-promise.html Note: Just posting to show how this works both ways.

Creighton with Watson and without Watson are 2 completely different teams. I'd expect an educated voter to know that and take it into account. Edit: Also, #20 Duke plays #21 ND tonight so at least 1 of them has to lose.
-
Yes, I honestly feel they do. It's not like the legislation they have been protesting is party neutral. Not saying there is anything wrong with a Republican president pushing the Republican agenda, but it is a little naive to think Democrats wouldn't be salty about it.

Just keep winning and wait for the teams ahead of us to lose.

I'd be right there with you Captain if it wasn't for the fact I would have missed the game had it stayed on Saturday as I have an all day obligation in Cleveland that day. I get that being good comes with the price of getting your games moved around to fit national TV schedules, but it blows we will end up only having 1 Saturday MAC home game this season. I wish they would cap it so that no team could have more than 2 home games flexed from Saturday to Friday.

Kent home game moved to Friday February 17th @ 7PM http://www.gozips.com/sports/mbkb/2016-17/releases/20170130fsx4na

I agree with you Dr. Z We have students and I imagine even some faculty that are native to those countries. Some of them might even be here on visas themselves. I'm not going to get into a political debate on whether the ban is justified or not (You can do that on plenty of other forums), but I'd be disappointed in the university if they weren't hosting some type of open forum to discuss the ramifications of this ban.

Yeah, in general I feel NIU needs to do all the small things to have a chance to win. They need to force turnovers, win the rebound battle, and pray the Zips shooters aren't hot if they hope to win. The one thing NIU does have going for them is they are led by their 6'11 250lb C. With that size he might be able to challenge Big Dog more than some other MAC C have.
-
Yes, Dambrot said that the team would be flying out sometime today on the post game. I'd be more nervous about the trap game possibility had we not lost in Dekalb last year. Big Dog, Kwan, and company have that game fresh in their mind and know if they show up lackadaisical, they can and will lose.
-
Their leading rusher and top 2 leading tacklers, not to mention several other starters, were part of their #1 rated 2014 class. I never said recruiting rankings mean everything. I however think it is silly to brush them off as meaning nothing.
-
Yeah, I mean WMU did have the #1 class 3 years in a row so even though it might not mean everything, it means something. Time will tell how good this recruiting class will be.
-
I'm not going to pretend to know how good this recruiting class is or isn't, but can we please quit trying to brag about a 6th place MAC finish? I'd hope we'd have our eyes set on something bigger.
-
They actually had 3 bigs foul out. I viewed Dambrot more so substituting offense for defense. It's why he took Big Dog out on the defensive end for E and why he would take E out and put Big Dog back in on the offensive end. He also let Robotham play defense with his 4 fouls because he is a better option than what he had on the bench. Had he been playing for overtime he wouldn't have risked Robotham picking up a ticky tack 5th on the defensive end.

People are asking why the Bulls don't have a better record. The answer is sure they have some guys that can dribble penetrate, but they came into last night shooting 27% as a team from 3 point land. With those low of percentages, teams can play off them to limit dribble penetration. Against Akron Buffalo went 10/22 from 3 for a 45.5% shooting. When they are shooting that hot from behind the arc it is pretty much pick your poison. Do you play them tight making it easier for them to beat you on dribble penetration or do you give them space and let them beat you with the 3. Unfortunately we don't have guards with the lateral quickness and determination to do both.

JAR is looking pretty well filled with people still filing in. We might be pushing 5k tonight.

It's a matter of what you value. Zeke certainly provided more early on, but IMO at his peak Big Dog is the better player. Not going to argue with anyone that has Zeke over Big Dog as I actually struggled between the 2 for a bit. Just wanted to provide my reasoning behind it.
-
If only we could find a C with Zeke's defensive prowess with Big Dog's offensive skill set...
-
I might just be living in the moment, but went with Big Dog for the sole fact that we are 17-3 with him and am not sure we would be .500 without him.
