  1. Willie Jackson is 6'6 and is leading the MAC in rebounding at 12.4 rebounds per game, which last I checked also had him 3rd in the nation. Mballa, who killed us on the glass, is 6'7. Height isn't the issue. Riak, at 6'10, had 3 inches of height on Mballa. Buffalo didn't out rebound us because they're taller, they're not. They out rebounded us because they did a better job at getting into position and boxing out. Our rebounding woes isn't a height issue. It's a technique and effort issue.
  2. I would have liked to have seen him honestly. It wouldn't have hurt to at least give him a chance.
  3. Where is game #21? ?
  4. Yep, players not named LCJ shot a combined 3/20 from 3 and Reece got 1 rebound in ~15 minutes of play, but only Riak can be blamed for the loss. You win and lose as a team. There was plenty of blame to go around tonight. At the end of the day we need to move past this and focus on going 1-0 vs Kent Friday.
  5. What's the alternative? Reece played 15-20 min and had 1 rebound.
  6. 5 of those 6 makes were 3 balls and he was 11 for 11 from the charity stripe. Overall his ts% was still solid even though his fg% might not look so great at first glance.
  7. Honestly, we should have lost by a lot more. We got to do a better job at boxing out.
  8. I think you misspelled LCJ.
  9. We're not going to win this unless Buffalo starts missing free throws.
  10. Let's get Cheese back in this game.
  11. At halftime Groce should just leave the Zips on the court to practice shooting.
  12. A lot of our misses aren't even close.
  13. What an ugly game so far for both teams.
  14. Try exiting out of the app then getting back in.
  15. @clarkwgriswold is bad at math.
  16. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, but I'm not sure if this is that big of a loss for YSU. YSU hasn't been relevant at the FCS level since Bo's second season and even then those players would have been the previous coaches recruits. In fact, the best they have finished in the past 3 years is 6th place in their conference. Him leaving sounds like an opportunity for them to go out and get a guy who can get them back to contending more regularly.
  17. We're up to #12 in college insiders poll. https://www.collegeinsider.com/mens-mid-major-top-25.php
  18. It was a bit too cheesy for my liking
  19. In other news the sky is blue and grass is green... It would have been criminal had he not gotten it this week. He averaged 27.5 points and 4 assists while shooting 70% from the field and 78.6% from 3.
  20. Sayles, Dawson, and Ali have combined to only shoot the ball 56 times all season. Tribble seems like the only guy looking to score and has done it well when he actually decides to shoot. He's making nearly 48% of his shots. I think part of it might just be that LCJ, Xeyrius, Cheese, and Banks are just shooting the ball so well that the goal is to get those guys to shoot the rock as much as possible. There was a lot of hype about Dawson, but he looks a long ways away from becoming a meaningful contributor this season.
  21. Pinky benched his entire starting lineup for the start of the game. Buffalo starters were getting outplayed by Kent's bench. Both these teams suck.
  22. We had it after the NIU game because we were the only undefeated team left in the MAC. We then proceeded to lose to Toledo. It's an old news story.
  23. I kind of went into this year thinking this was the year we need to see something out Groce. The first year was pretty much a year 0 given all the transfers. His second season saw some improvement and we were competitive for the most part. This year we headed into the season with a senior heavy roster in what was expected to be a down year for the MAC. I didn't necessarily feel we had to win the MAC this season going in, but I wanted to be elevated to a serious contender. So far we have eclipsed my expectations as we look like a clear favorite. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out. Groce still had three years left on his deal after this season so I knew we couldn't show him the door if Akron had another 8th place, quarterfinal exit, but I would have lost faith in his ability to lead us moving forward.
  24. Turner played that game. Kent's losses came in the easier stretch of their schedule. If Senderoff thinks their schedule has been brutal thus far, he's in a world of hurt the next 4 (@Buffalo, @Toledo, Akron, and Ball State).
  25. Funny I haven't seen many of those "critics" post this season. I'm sure they will reappear when it's an opportune time for them.
