Have been hearing a lot about the Cant receiving unit this year. They have 2 guys ranked in the top 50 for rec yards. Rank # 10 Date Cephas he is a Jr with 44 receptions for 687 yards and 3 TDs. Rank # 31 Devontez Walker he is a So. with 36 receptions for 544 yards and 5 TDs. As for us Shocky is ranked 23 with 42 receptions for 579 and 2 TDs. and George is # 77 with 41 recs. for 441 yrds and 0 Tds (fyi for wondering minds - Mumpfield is ranked 261 24 recs for 257 yrds and 1 TD. )

Ohio should of lost to Fordham. The game was ugly. 228 yards in penalties. The officials made it about them. What cost Fordham is they were down by one and driving. They got flagged for holding and their coach flipped out and slammed down his headset... They flagged him for unsportsman. That put them too far behind on the chain. On the last play they tried razzle dazzle. They ended up fumbling it and Ohio returned it for a score.

This is interesting decision for Matt Campbell. At this point it would be a possible lateral move. Nebraska could offer up more money but Matt turned down the Detroit Lions. A job he could of made more but the risk of getting fired is high. I think the Nebraska job is the same way. High risk high reward. At Iowa State you can have stability being a big fish in a small pond. 2 of the perennial powers are leaving your conference. The new playoff format means you can make it by winning your conference and not having to be ranked particularly high. The flip side to that is do you think the BIG 12 is capable of sustaining itself. If you don't think so then where does Iowa State fit in the landscape of a new conference? The BIG 10 isn't going anywhere and is pumping money into the veins of its schools like a junky. If you think you can turn Nebraska around, there is a lot of upside. I think for Matt, ever pro has a con. For Nebraska, the Frank Solich curse is real.

I really agree with that type of scheduling. The instant gratification to the bottom line is very short sited by these AD's and Presidents. It really sets the program back as we just seen with the damage Larry Williams and rotation of presidents. There wear tear to the roster, the mentality of the program, not to mention 1 game is big to your bowl eligibility. Not just if your eligible or not but that 1 win can move you up a bowl tear with higher payouts. The impact they have on recruiting because those "marquee games" are the games they are guaranteed to see. I do have faith in our current leadership as they seem to get it but for now they are paying for the sins of the past. One other point he made that really hit home was when we was talking about expansion. You don't have to go after a major market if you can find a big fish in a small market. He said when he was in the WAC he looked at the paper in Boise that Boise State football was always on the front page. When he was at the SunBelt and they were looking at expanding, App St. looked a lot like the Boise model and when you open the paper in Boone that it was always about App St football. It's hard to be the team that is always buried on page 7 of your sports section. We have fought that battle with the nonAkron Beacon for a long time.

Full Ride is awesome. I always go back and listen on demand if I miss it. As I watched the end of Georgia Southern vs Nebraska, I was thinking Full Ride is going to be fun on Monday.

The amount of commercial breaks was ridiculous. We got the momentum at the end of the 3rd. The kids were all excited on the side lines and the fans were into it. After only 2.03 of game time to start the 4th and there was already 8 min of commercial breaks, the momentum was gone. I think the audio/visual issues probably made this worse. There was no fill during the breaks. In today's age, this isn't an expectable game experience. The stadium looked really good. There was a real new feel to it. The firework show after the game was great. I was actually impressed.

Another tip. After you save and open your tickets, take a screen shot of the ticket with the QR Code. You can then easily text the tickets, and or parking pass to anyone in your group, rather than using the app.

iRacing has 3rd party website for paint scheme design that makes it easier BUT it still is tedious. I had to cut out each letter in the Akron Zips to be able to place a transparent logo where I wanted it. The Akron Zips brand guide said to use "rubik" font but even with that, I couldn't get an exact match. The sim racing paint schemes have got so advanced that Kaulig Racing and many other teams are using a young guy to design their schemes that got his start just sim designing named Noah Sweet.

I thought that was a great listen. I think he will be instrumental in the building of a "team" atmosphere and accountability of the players between themselves.

I don't know if any have brought in someone better than what they have lost but Toledo has always been able to reload and find another staff to continue winning. Toledo Tom Amstutz is the only coach they have had since Lord Saban left that didn't get hired away excluding current coach Candle Candle's updated numbers 45-27 .625% CMU went from Brian Kelley to Butch Jones.

As I have said many times. Good programs have their coaches hired away, We fire ours. It would be nice to have one warrant consideration for a bigger job. That said, I want my cake and eat it too. Here is to decades of JoeMo and winning seasons.
