I watched their game with BYU. They solely rely on their defense and their line is scary. They don't have an offence. They try to just manage the amount of possessions you get and try to keep you backed up on field position. They only pass because they have to, just to try and open up the run. They did lull BYU's secondary into being out of position a couple of times but the NIU receivers dropped the passes. The game came down to a couple of penalties. BYU was called for pass interference on 3rd down that lead to the only scoring drive NIU had. BYU had a 1st and goal in the 3rd quarter but had back to back false starts that lead to the 2nd FG. NIU is similar to our 2015 team in that they play their own game and let you lose it for yourself.

I think this is a guarantee since Van is the only one not fumbling the ball multiple times right now.

I'm really interested in what Vegas decides on the over/under. We hold teams to a low score (23.6 ave) and both teams are the worst in putting up pts in the Mac (Akron 22.4 NIU 17.1). NIU coming off of a game that only 13pts are scored....... Vegas doesn't like to go under 40 and they will probably set it around 44. I would take the under.

I was shocked at the mass exodus of Kent fans sometime after half time with it being tied up. The crowd turned pro-Akron after that (at least vocally). The energy was great on the south side of the stadium and we had a lot of fun.

If this game was last year, I don't think you would of heard any out cry in Lincoln. They just wanted to have their Scott Frost Parade, which i find funny. They just have it wrote down in pen that it was a W. I don't think that was the case at all.

The Tunein app is great for listening to games all around the country if your on the go. I also recommend "The Score" app. The app gives you an easy view of all the scores, tv channels and betting lines for all the games. They also attach any AP articles to the game threads as well as a tab for social media for both teams. I usually have multiple screens up watching games. I use The Score app to watch for close games in the 4th and with the ease of the app i know what channel or stream to turn one of the extra tvs to.
