The new age of college football. Actually, they can play in four games and not lose a year of eligibility- step on the field for that 5th game and you lose a year so this week was the cut off. Kids all over the country stepping away from their teams.

2 seasons…you’re splitting hairs. He was the head coach in all those games that I listed and they are on his record.

I don’t expect to win these games against Power 5 teams but it would be nice to at least put up a fight and not get completely embarrassed. Every year there are non power 5 fbs teams being competitive and beating power 5 teams yet we can’t even not get humiliated. Hell, even a lot of FCS teams are competing much better than the Zips. So far in Joe’s 2 years here’s how it looks: Sparty 52-0 Tenn 63-6 Ky 35-3 For those scoring at home, that’s 150-9 with Zero touchdowns scored ! 🤮

The crowd was not that big but I thought it was a great atmosphere. I actually liked the music, it created some energy people were dancing. I also likes Norm MacDonald, he did make several mistakes, but he had some energy and I’m sure will improve.

This play totally reminded me of the miracle in the meadowlands with Larry Csonka and Herm Edwards. It was on the same part of the field, scoop and score, complete blunder. This has to have a name, Miracle in the Land? Miracle in Akronland? Miracle in MoreheadLand?

Why is this offense struggling so bad? 90 yards of offense the last 3 quarters of play.

Morgan State will not be a pushover, they will be salivating at the chance to beat a D1 opponent. Zips better bring it or risk taking a huge loss that this program simply can’t afford to have.

To get out you have to have somebody want you and we all know that football is usually the driver for those moves. This football has been in the dumps for a long time with nothing to offer. In addition, most MAC schools don’t have big budgets so geographically it makes a lot of sense as well.

Draft Kings currently has the Zips over/under win total at 4. Hasn’t that gone up? I thought they were at 3 or 3.5 not long ago?

Temple is no powerhouse but they are always a tough, physical opponent. This is a game that Akron desperately needs to win if they are ever going to change the direction of this program. You have to assume that Indiana and Kentucky will be losses and Morgan State a win so this game is the difference between 1-3 and 2-2. HUGE difference as you head into league play. JoeMo and crew need to roll into Philly and come home with the W! I predict a shootout, 35-34 Zips! 🦘
