My take on this game: first off, it’s great to get a win, no matter how ugly. Now, playing like that I just don’t think they could win another game on their schedule except maybe Kent. It seems like we’ve been talking about muffed punts and unsportsmanlike penalties for 3 years now - it’s maddening! It just keeps happening. Are the coaches just not addressing it aggressively enough or are the kids just too stupid? They STILL need to find a way to establish the run game. Passing too often with this offensive line is a recipe for disaster.

It’s an F’in rule- pretty simple. Do you think it’s just up to the interpretation of every official …c’mon man!

Could someone please just kick me in the balls, it would be much more enjoyable than this.

It’s pretty depressing seeing these other MAC schools complete while Akron keeps looking like bumbling fools. BG gives Penn State all they want, NIU beats ND etc. I was feeling optimistic but now it’s feeling like another really long season

Ok, this is a big step forward. He’s got on Akron gear this time - granted, it’s the old script logo but this is a move in the right direction! Maybe we still need one more big check from Rutgers to get him totally updated. Seriously though, thanks for posting this, it’s good to get some insight on what is going on with the program

I get your point but those are ridiculous comparisons. Your two examples are a major stadium renovation and a new stadium being built. Both of those take year(s). This is a scoreboard that absolutely should be done by first home game. Maybe there’s a good excuse but I haven’t heard one yet

Well, I think I pretty much nailed this prediction, missed it by one field goal. Having said that, the game was different. I thought OSU would get out to a quick 35-0 lead and win on a first round TKO, that didn’t happen. I thought the Zips played really well. The defense looks really solid. Even some of the Buckeyes big pass completions were just great plays on some good pass coverage. Offense struggled but hard to really get a gage on them while playing against one of the best defenses in the country. Overall, I saw a lot of good signs of progress. They need to battle against Rutgers. This needs to be a close game. Go Zips!
