To me, the moving A was too cheesy and amateurish (like what CMU uses now) and too yellow. At least our current logos are obviously professionally designed. I think it would be cool to have a throwback game with the retro Varsity A logo/uni's.

Why were all those great players on the other MAC teams and not Akron? We were really outrecruited during the Hipsher years, apparently.

I think the new coach will accept them. The new coach would be hard-pressed to recruit his own entire freshman class in a month's time.

Exactly. The dismal season cost us a couple hundred thousand dollars in lost ticket sales today alone. Add those amounts to his salary and a 1 year buyout looks like a bargain.

Why are we so young, 5 years into the JD era? Why don't we have Jrs. and Srs. on the field? If the underclassmen are that much better, why are we losing? You're right, it has to figure in, but it won't help JD.

So if he goes to IU or CMU he can major in pre-med and play football, but not at Akron? Does that mean our program is more difficult and therefore more risk of losing eligibility? Not sure I understand that one. I think he would need better than a 3.4 in college to get into med school, wouldn't he?

The ironic thing is that our AD's who hire the coaches are the ones moving 'up' (Xavier, Cinci, Houston). I'm waiting to see how the Info effect impacts the candidate pool this time around...this could be our turn to strike gold. Speaking of gold, Al Golden to Cinci to replace Kelley? Sounds like Memphis already has a short list going on.

They can't cover the run to the outside. It's wide open for the Owls all day. Temple just runs a couple up the middle to keep the outside open. QB just waltzed in to the right side.. It won't change in the 2nd half either..
